Lion's Garden Hotel
The stay at Lion's Garden Hotel was nearly flawless. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the city center and easily accessible by public transit. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. The staff went above and beyond to help with local recommendations, transportation tips, and even helped us book a last-minute dinner reservation. They were friendly, professional, and always available when needed. The only minor downside is that bathrobes aren’t complimentary—they have to be requested, which felt a bit odd given how otherwise seamless the experience was. But honestly, that’s just a tiny detail in an otherwise outstanding stay. With its great ambiance, excellent service, and unbeatable value, this hotel is a top choice in Budapest. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Benczur Hotel
Staying at Benczur Hotel was an absolute delight—far better than expected and incredibly good value for money. The breakfast was fantastic: abundant, delicious, and with a wide variety of options that kept us full throughout the day, even well into the afternoon. We arrived early, and despite not being check-in time yet, they let us in as early as 9 AM—super accommodating! They also offered currency exchange for Hungarian Forints, which was super helpful. The room was bright, clean, and spotless, with excellent natural light and a perfectly warm shower. It’s just a short walk to Heroes’ Square, and from there, exploring the city via Budapest’s historic yellow metro line (the first underground railway in Europe) was such a fun adventure. Everything about this stay was perfect—from location to service to comfort. Highly recommend this gem!

I stayed at Esprit Hotel in Budapest from December 16th to 19th for three nights, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help—whether it was checking in, offering local tips, or assisting with luggage. My room, number 208, was spotless and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and quiet atmosphere perfect for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was simple but satisfying—plenty of fresh bread, fruits, yogurt, and hot options to start the day right. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from major attractions and close to public transit. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they offer. I’d absolutely recommend this place to fellow travelers and will definitely book here again on my next visit to Budapest.
East City Budapest
The East City Budapest Hotel is very well located—just a short walk from the metro, bus, and tram stops, making it easy to get around the city. There’s a small supermarket inside the building, and right across the street are several cafes, shops, and restaurants, so everything you need is within reach. It takes just a few metro stops to reach the city center, and there’s a large shopping mall within walking distance—perfect for a quick shopping trip. One nice touch is the luggage storage room, which is handy for early arrivals or late departures. However, the rooms are quite disappointing—outdated furnishings, poor cleaning standards, and no breakfast included. While the location is a strong point, the lack of basic amenities and room quality really holds this hotel back. Improvements in cleanliness and room comfort would go a long way in boosting guest satisfaction.

However, we arrived right on the check-in time as scheduled, but the room wasn’t ready yet—cleaning staff hadn’t finished, so we had to wait a bit before entering. Also, the daily key return and reissue system felt inconvenient, and the lack of a 24-hour front desk made things less smooth. While the hotel is solid overall, these small issues prevented it from being a perfect 5/5. Would still recommend it, but improvements in service flow would make a big difference.
