We had an absolutely wonderful family stay at Shangri-La Hotel Dalian, and I can confidently say it was one of the best kid-friendly hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The children’s themed room was a hit—colorful, playful, and packed with fun details that instantly delighted our little ones. From themed toiletries to small toys, every touch showed genuine thoughtfulness. Our kids were entertained for hours, thanks to the excellent in-house play areas—perfect for burning off energy without any stress. As adults, we also appreciated the beautifully maintained indoor pool with clear, warm water—ideal for relaxing after a long day. The service truly stood out too: special thanks to Yina for her warm, attentive hospitality, always ready to help; and the housekeeping staff who kept the room spotless and welcoming. The location is fantastic—close to the waterfront but still convenient for city exploration. With top-tier amenities, thoughtful family services, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, this hotel lives up to its five-star reputation. We’ll definitely be returning when we come back to Dalian with the kids.

The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like we were coming home every time we returned. Their genuine care made the whole experience truly special. The whole experience felt like a little escape from city life. Super cozy, great service, and an unbeatable vibe. Definitely coming back.
Riyue Ming Zhenxuan Hotel (Dalian Railway Station,Songyun Street)
I booked this hotel well in advance, and I’m so glad I did—everything exceeded my expectations. The property features a charming little garden with a friendly cat, and to my surprise, they even have peacocks and parrots! Breakfast was a real highlight—I could enjoy my meal by the window while watching the peacocks stroll around. The location is excellent: I followed the navigation to Zhongshan Square and found it easy to get there. Friendly Plaza is nearby, and taking Line 5 to Qingniwaqiao Exit H2 puts you right next to the shopping complex. The first floor has an amazing array of local eats—every time I stayed here for three nights, I made it a point to go back for more: steamed buns, squid, skewers—each one delicious. The staff were warm and attentive throughout. While some rooms on the 6th floor of Building B require walking up and down stairs, it’s not a hassle at all. Plus, the building has a fire station on the ground floor, which gives a real sense of security. Overall, fantastic value, great atmosphere, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Dalian.

Yushu Xia Seaview Homestay (Dalian Donggang Venice Water City Branch)
The location is absolutely perfect. During my one-week stay in Dalian, I stayed at several hotels including Starway, Orange, and Mercure, but this was by far the best choice. The value for money is outstanding, and the room was the most spacious of all. It's just a 3-minute walk to the liveliest part of Venice Water City and the seaside—perfect for morning strolls or sunset views. You can easily reach Gangdong Wujie to see the big ships with a leisurely walk. There’s a shopping mall within a few hundred meters, making dining and daily errands super convenient. What really stood out was the warm hospitality from the staff. The owner kindly upgraded me to a sea-view room upon learning I was traveling with kids and elderly family members, which made everything so much easier. Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be back here on my next trip to Dalian. I’ve truly fallen in love with this city—and with this place.
