I loved that we could rent bikes right on-site—perfect for exploring nearby attractions like the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge, the bamboo grove, and Tenryu-ji Temple without needing to rely on transport. Oh, and the day-use onsen? Only ¥65 per person, and it’s worth every yen—especially with its serene outdoor courtyard. Two restaurants stand out: one requires advance booking, and the other, Kijūrō’s beef bowl, was absolutely delicious—rich, savory, and perfectly cooked. I’ll definitely come back here whenever I visit Kyoto again.
