The bedding was top-notch—so soft and cozy, I slept like a baby and woke up feeling refreshed. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the train station, which made exploring Cologne effortless. But what truly blew me away? Right behind the hotel, there’s a little street with a surprisingly authentic bubble tea shop and even a biangbiang noodles stall—something I never expected to find in Germany! It added such a fun, unexpected local flavor to my trip. Everything about this hotel—from comfort to location to hidden gems nearby—was perfect. I’ll definitely be back!

Inside, the hotel is spotless, well-designed, and very inviting. What really stands out is the on-site restaurant: open late into the night, so if you arrive tired and hungry after dark, you can grab a meal here before heading to bed—no stress at all. It’s also walking distance to major attractions like the Chocolate Museum, the Rhine River promenade, and of course, the iconic Cologne Cathedral. If we ever return to Cologne, this is definitely where we’ll stay again. The breakfast is worth every penny—plenty of variety, fresh, and delicious. A top-tier experience overall.

Breakfast was a highlight—great variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious local touches that made it memorable. Getting to Cologne Cathedral is straightforward if you follow the main route, but be careful with map directions—some apps might send you on a slightly confusing detour. Stick to the general direction, and you’ll find your way easily. Overall, the location, service, and comfort make this a top choice. I’d definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at the Burns before, but this visit to The Deutz, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Cologne was truly exceptional. Our biggest highlight was meeting Marcel Deux at reception—he was incredibly friendly, witty, and highly professional. When we expressed dissatisfaction with our Junior Suite 704, he immediately arranged a room change to Suite 92 with zero hassle. His genuine willingness to help made a lasting impression. The hotel’s central location is perfect for exploring the city—just a short walk to the train station and plenty of great dining options nearby. From check-in to checkout, every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This stay exceeded all expectations. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne.

Staying at this hotel was a great way to explore Cologne. The price was fair, the location was excellent—just steps from trams and buses—and the staff provided very friendly service. One thing to note: there’s no air conditioning in the rooms, but it didn’t affect our comfort at all. If you prefer sleeping with the window open, ask for a room facing the back side of the building, as the front-facing ones can be noisy due to street traffic. Cologne is a big city with over a million residents, so things are lively even on Sundays! Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it.
