Staying at Ravel Hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to major attractions and public transit stops. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed, from the comfort of the bed to the thoughtful touches throughout the space. Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel
Staying at the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The room size was just right—comfortable and well-proportioned, with a spacious bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. The view from the upper floors is fantastic; you can see far into the city skyline, especially stunning during sunset hours. There are plenty of small shops nearby, so grabbing snacks, drinks, or essentials is super convenient. I enjoyed walking to Columbia University—about a 20-minute stroll through residential streets, which felt safe during daylight hours. That said, I did notice the neighborhood’s safety level is average, so I’d recommend being mindful when walking around late at night. All in all, it's a great choice if you're looking to immerse yourself in a real Harlem vibe without sacrificing comfort or convenience. The value for money is strong, and the hotel delivers on atmosphere and practicality.
SpringHill Suites New York Queens
Staying at SpringHill Suites New York Queens was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were warm and welcoming, and I appreciated being able to store my luggage after check-out—perfect for a late departure. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around the city or heading to LGA airport. Breakfast was a highlight—plenty of variety and delicious food, but I’d recommend arriving early to snag a seat before it fills up. Unlimited coffee throughout the day is a great touch, and the daily fresh popcorn is such a nice surprise. It’s clear they care about guest comfort and little extras. Overall, a delightful stay with excellent value—definitely coming back.
Northern Lights Mansion
My stay at Northern Lights Mansion was a mixed experience. The furniture looked like it came from a yard sale—mismatched and not cohesive in style. Extension cords and TV cables were loosely run and exposed throughout the room, which felt unsafe and unprofessional. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut, requiring constant adjustment during use. Unfortunately, the jetted tub I was looking forward to was out of service, which was disappointing. Breakfast was an additional charge, and while the food quality was decent, the extra cost made it feel less value for money. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay more pleasant on a personal level. Overall, the hotel has potential, but improvements in room upkeep, safety, and guest amenities would go a long way in boosting the experience.
Courtyard New York Manhattan/Upper East Side
The location is excellent—just a short walk to subway stations and all the great shops and restaurants in the Upper East Side. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with friendly staff throughout the stay. The only minor inconvenience was having just one elevator available, but it made sense when I learned the hotel was undergoing renovations in part of the building. That said, it didn’t significantly impact my experience. Overall, this is a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and value in Manhattan.
Aloft Long Island City-Manhattan View
Staying at the Aloft Long Island City-Manhattan View was an absolute highlight of my trip to NYC. The hotel is perfectly located in a vibrant neighborhood packed with restaurants, shops, and local eateries—everything you need is just steps away. What truly sets this place apart is the rooftop terrace, offering stunning panoramic views of the Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan skyline. Watching the sunset from up there was unforgettable. Plus, it’s within walking distance to three subway stations, plus easy access to the LIC Gantry Park and Astoria Ferry Station for a quick ride to WTC. The modern, stylish design, excellent service, and unbeatable location make this hotel a top pick. I’d definitely come back.

I noticed a lot of European travelers here, which made the atmosphere feel very international and welcoming. The location is convenient for getting around NYC via subway, and the overall vibe is relaxed yet modern. Great value for the price, and I’d definitely return without hesitation.

That said, the value for money is outstanding—great space, modern amenities, and a convenient location near subway access makes it ideal for travelers looking for comfort without overspending. Highly recommend for both short stays and longer visits.

It’s quiet, safe, and feels like a peaceful retreat without being far from the action. Highly recommend this place—it’s a fantastic choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Absolutely loved my stay at LIC Hotel! The location is perfect—just a short subway ride from downtown Manhattan. I stayed for a full week, and while the breakfast menu was consistent throughout, it was still delicious and satisfying. One small suggestion: adding a fresh tomato and cheese salad to the breakfast spread would make it even better. Overall, this hotel offers fantastic value for money and a truly comfortable experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.
