Olas Altas Inn Hotel & Spa

Everything was perfect during my stay here—truly a standout experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully designed with a modern yet cozy touch. I especially appreciated the excellent soundproofing, which made for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a short walk from local restaurants and attractions, and easily accessible by public transit. The spa was an absolute highlight; the massage therapist was skilled and attentive, leaving me completely relaxed. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mazatlán. It’s not just a hotel—it’s a retreat. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Del Real Hotel & Suites

We've been visiting Mazatlán every year, and this was our first time staying at Del Real Hotel & Suites—what a fantastic debut! We got to experience a brand-new renovated room, and everything was top-notch: luxurious furnishings, excellent comfort, and thoughtful details that outshine some 5-star hotels I've stayed at before. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and downtown, with easy access to public transit. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially the front desk team and housekeeping crew—genuine hospitality that made a lasting impression. If everything goes well, we’ll definitely be back for summer vacation!

Hotel Santa Barbara

Staying at Hotel Santa Barbara was an absolute delight—literally steps away from the beach, making it perfect for morning walks or sunset views. The location is unbeatable, and the hotel itself felt clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, convenient stay with such a great vibe. I’d happily return in a heartbeat.

Tramonto Resort Mazatlan

The customer service here is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The facilities are modern, clean, and well-maintained, and the property feels safe and welcoming. It's super convenient for getting around to nearby attractions, whether by public transit or car. The only minor downside is that the elevators could be a bit faster, but honestly, that’s the only thing I’d mention. Everything else about our stay was perfect—great value, great vibe, and definitely a place I’d return to without hesitation.

Casa 511 Hotel Boutique

Staying at Casa 511 Hotel Boutique was an absolute highlight of our trip to Mazatlán! The value for money is unbeatable—especially with the all-you-can-eat ribs special and complimentary margaritas tonight. The ribs were perfectly seasoned, tender, and so flavorful that we couldn’t stop enjoying them. The margaritas were fresh, crisp, and just right—perfectly balanced. Our server Rica was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we never ran out of drinks or food. We were stuffed by the end, but honestly, it was impossible not to try everything—it was just that good. The hotel’s location is convenient, close to everything, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a full experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Hotel San Diego

I really appreciated how well-located Hotel San Diego is—everything I needed was within walking distance, from local shops to the beach. My room was comfortable and matched perfectly with the price I paid. There was a small leak I reported, but given how busy the hotel was during my stay, I understand they might have been overwhelmed with guest requests. Still, the overall experience was excellent. Public transportation options were convenient, and I never felt far from anything important. The beach is just a short stroll away, making it ideal for those who love coastal vibes. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a relaxed yet central spot in Mazatlán.

Hotel de Cima

Staying at Hotel de Cima was an absolutely unforgettable experience—everything exceeded my expectations. The service was outstanding, the location was perfect, and the price was incredibly reasonable. What truly stood out was the owner’s kindness and genuine care. I learned that back in 1963, during a hurricane, he personally offered my parents an extra night’s stay to keep them from traveling on dangerous roads. That act of compassion has stayed with our family for generations. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place with heart. If you’re ever in Mazatlán, this is the only choice. A true gem.

Capital O Zona Dorada Inn

This property may have had potential in the past, but it’s clearly past its prime. The location used to be decent, but now it’s surrounded by a constant stream of bars and clubs—especially if you’re on the front side, the noise is unbearable and made sleep impossible. The building itself needs serious maintenance: outdated electrical systems, flickering lights, and strange plumbing issues. The showerhead heats water on contact, which feels unsafe and uncomfortable. Staff are friendly and willing to help, but none speak English, so communication is frustrating. Finding the hotel was tricky too—it goes by multiple names, and we booked under 'Zona Dorado Suites,' only to find the sign read 'Zona Dorado Hotel' upon arrival. We stayed just one night because the noise was relentless. Honestly, the only positive was the bed—it was surprisingly comfortable. Overall, this place is not worth it unless you're completely okay with chaos and no rest. Avoid if you value peace and quiet.

Soho Apartments

The Soho Apartments are in a great location—just two blocks from the beach and surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, ATMs, and a pharmacy. It’s super convenient and feels safe overall. The building has an elevator and electronic door locks, though it took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get the keypad to display properly. Self-parking was straightforward and hassle-free. We had no issues with theft during our stay. There’s ongoing construction nearby (common throughout the area), but it didn’t interfere with our experience. However, the property is situated between two event centers—La Ferro Jardín and Atlantis Event Centre—which played loud music until around 1 a.m. on three separate nights. That said, the room we stayed in (Room #9) didn’t match the photos: the kitchen has wood cabinets but lacks the chandelier, coffee table, and artwork seen in the listing. Peeling paint near the windows and less-than-pristine cleanliness were noticeable. We also experienced two water pump issues over two days—no running water at the tap or flushing capability for the toilet—but each time, the problem was resolved within four hours, which was appreciated. Room #9 had a broken shower hot water valve, so we ended up turning off the main hot water supply to stop the flow. Getting extra linens required proving we had two adults booked, which added a small inconvenience. Notably, there was no hairdryer provided, even after asking. Gabriela, the property manager, was polite and responsive whenever we reached out. The rooftop patio includes a charcoal grill (you bring your own supplies), but there are no tables, chairs, or loungers—making it hard to relax up there. In short, the location is excellent and very handy, but the noise from events and some inconsistencies in room quality and amenities do take away from the experience. Still, if you value proximity to the beach and local spots, it’s a decent option—just manage expectations.

Hotel Playa Marina

Staying at Hotel Playa Marina was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by great local restaurants and shops. The room was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with a plush bed that made falling asleep easy and waking up refreshing. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, which was a lifesaver during the hot Mexican days. Staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we felt welcome—especially when they offered assistance with our luggage. What stood out most was the stunning ocean view from our balcony; waking up to the sound of waves and sunlight streaming in was pure bliss. It’s rare to find such comfort and value in one place. I’d definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mazatlán.
