Our room, Egypt, was stunning — a breathtaking ocean view, a private porch perfect for morning coffee, a hot tub, and comfy outdoor loungers. The cleanliness and attention to detail were top-notch. Breakfast was an experience: fresh fruit, daily rotating yogurt flavors, granola, and that famous coffee served in traditional clay mugs — pure joy. And then came Tatiana’s personal touch — her delicious final breakfast course was unforgettable. Just one block from El Malecón, it’s easy to walk down and hop on a pulmonía or araña to explore the city. But the real highlight? Tatiana herself. She’s not just the owner — she’s a local guide, friend, and tour planner all in one. She arranged a fantastic trip to El Quelite at a great price, including a delicious meal. Gustavo joined us too — warm, fun, and full of insider knowledge. They made us feel like family. The property is secure, beautifully maintained, and incredibly peaceful. You come here as a guest… and leave as a friend. If you’re visiting Mazatlán, this is the only place to stay.
Casa Barros Vacation Condos
I’d read some really negative reviews about Casa Barros beforehand—complaints about poor communication, needing to enter through the parking lot at night, and the property being nothing like the photos. But my experience was actually fantastic! The two front desk staff members were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my stay. I could come and go anytime, which was a big plus. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed—air conditioning works perfectly, there’s a working iron, washer, and dryer, all in great condition. The only small note: no dish soap or cleaning supplies were provided, so you’ll need to bring your own. That said, it’s not a dealbreaker. The hotel is conveniently located near the main square and just a 15-minute walk from the city center. I stayed in September, which is off-season, but the service was still top-notch. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-maintained apartment-style stay with friendly staff and good value, I highly recommend Casa Barros.

The value for money is unbeatable—especially with the all-you-can-eat ribs special and complimentary margaritas tonight. The ribs were perfectly seasoned, tender, and so flavorful that we couldn’t stop enjoying them. The margaritas were fresh, crisp, and just right—perfectly balanced. Our server Rica was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we never ran out of drinks or food. We were stuffed by the end, but honestly, it was impossible not to try everything—it was just that good. The hotel’s location is convenient, close to everything, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a full experience. We’ll definitely be back.

I'm already planning my next visit! The value for money is outstanding, and the location makes getting around town super convenient. We actually would’ve loved to stay longer if not for the poor service experience. Unfortunately, that negative interaction made us decide to leave after just one night. The pool area was beautiful, and the guy who handled the pool maintenance was genuinely kind and helpful when we checked out at 8:10 AM. It’s a lovely hotel overall—well-located, clean, and visually appealing. That said, guest service is absolutely crucial. If the team can improve their attitude and hospitality while keeping the great ambiance, this place could easily be a top pick. Thanks to the staff for the warm farewell, and hope to see positive changes in the future!
