From there, the views are unforgettable: the iconic Cerro Santa Lucía, the tallest building in South Africa (yes, really), and the distant Andes mountains stretching across the horizon. Sunset and moonrise here are simply magical. I stayed for eight days, and by the end, the staff all knew me by name—friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Breakfast was generous and delicious, while dinner at the rooftop venue was surprisingly excellent. The hotel is perfectly located in Santiago’s cultural heart. Walking distance takes you to top restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and major attractions. Right across the street is a huge open-air food plaza where you can hop on a cable car up to Cerro Santa Lucía for panoramic views of the entire city. Nearby, a vibrant art market offers quirky little souvenirs and handmade crafts. Across from the hotel lies a spacious park with a historic 1900s horse-drawn carriage path—about two kilometers long—leading straight to the National Art Museum.
