I was originally booked into the Fitzrovia apartment, but upon arrival, the access code didn’t work. After waiting about 30 minutes and contacting my travel agent, I found out the unit had an issue—yet the platform made a last-minute change to a much worse location in Piccadilly without informing me or offering a refund. The second-floor apartment has a streetlight directly outside the bedroom window, shining straight in all night, and constant street noise that lasted until 3 a.m. on a Tuesday. I ended up sleeping on the couch because the room was impossible to rest in. The actual property was far worse than the photos suggested—disappointing in every way. To make matters worse, their so-called 'emergency line' doesn’t actually get answered. You can leave a voicemail, but it’s likely ignored. This ‘tech-enabled’ model sounds convenient on paper, but in reality, it leaves guests completely unsupported when things go wrong. Poor communication, zero accountability, and a terrible stay overall.
Buckingham Palace View Apartment
We absolutely loved the location—being just steps away from Buckingham Palace made every morning feel special. Chocolate shortbread—simple but unforgettable. That said, standard rooms are quite small; fitting two adults and two large suitcases left little room to move around. Bathrooms feel dated in design and fixtures, though they’re clean and functional. One delightful touch: the nightly turndown includes a cozy hot water bottle tucked under the sheets—a small gesture that truly warms the soul. You can ask almost anything of your housekeeper—they’ll help with luggage packing, local tips, or even last-minute requests. The location is unbeatable: directly opposite Buckingham Palace stables. Walking to the palace, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey felt effortless—more like a leisurely stroll than a tourist rush. For a unique, intimate, and deeply personal stay in central London, Hotel 41 delivers exceptional value and genuine hospitality.
