Even though it’s just a short walk from local attractions, the quiet rural vibe makes it feel like a hidden retreat. I especially loved the morning light filtering through the trees and the gentle sounds of nature. It's not just a place to sleep—it feels like a true escape. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility, authenticity, and a little bit of soulful connection with nature.

Knightsbury Guest House
Jenny and Johan made us feel right at home the moment we arrived in Cape Town. They arranged a reliable driver to pick us up from the airport, which was such a thoughtful touch. The guest house is nestled in a peaceful, tree-lined suburb, just minutes away from the University, Table Mountain hiking trails, and the beautiful Botanical Gardens—perfect for exploring nature and local culture. There are plenty of great restaurants, cozy cafes, and shops within walking distance, and the V&A Waterfront is just a short ride away. We even met other guests during our visit, and everyone shared a warm, friendly vibe. This is an exceptional value-for-money guest house, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

I stayed here for two months during a work assignment in Cape Town, and I can’t recommend Green Elephant Backpackers enough. The location in Observatory is unbeatable—perfect for students, hospital staff, or tourists exploring the city. The outdoor courtyard is a fantastic spot to relax with drinks and food while watching sports, and the strong Wi-Fi works both inside and out, so I could easily work under the sun by the pool or in the shared office space. The staff are genuinely welcoming and always ready to help—offering great travel tips, local recommendations, and even inviting me to several braais hosted by the owners. Cleaning staff were friendly and respectful, taking excellent care of my belongings. I stayed in a private apartment, which was ideal for long-term guests: comfortable beds, ample space for work or relaxation, and a kitchenette for cooking my own meals. Parking was no issue either—plenty of street parking and secure space behind a fence. From start to finish, the experience exceeded expectations. The warmth of the team, the vibe of the place, and the convenience of the location make this a top choice. If I ever return to Cape Town, this will be my first stop.
