Staying at Alex Hotel & Spa in Marseille was a pleasant surprise—its proximity to the train station is incredible. Just a 200-meter walk from the station, it’s super convenient for getting around the city. The room is compact but well-organized; two large 28-inch suitcases fit, though space is tight when fully unpacked. Breakfast met European three-star standards—plenty of options, fresh pastries, and local touches. What really stood out was the small courtyard: peaceful, quiet, and perfect for morning coffee or a quiet moment. Plus, most major attractions are within a 20-minute walk or short transit ride. Great location, solid value, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely my top pick for future trips to Marseille.

The Ibis Budget Marseille Vieux-Port is perfectly located—walking distance to the old port and all the main sights, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was solid: fresh fruit, cold cuts, and a good selection of pastries. However, the room lacked bedside tables, which made it awkward to place personal items. The bathroom didn’t come with hand towels or a hairdryer—both had to be requested at reception and returned immediately. If you wanted to keep the dryer, you had to leave your ID as collateral, which felt a bit odd. Our bed was very noisy and stiff, and the pillows were overly soft with no shape, so they weren’t great for comfort. If you’re sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, avoid weekends—the building is right above bars and restaurants, and even with double-glazed windows, street sounds carried through clearly. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is fair for a budget stay, but the rooms are definitely basic. It’s best suited for travelers looking for a simple, no-frills overnight option rather than a relaxing retreat.

Our romantic getaway was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff, especially Christophe, made us feel so welcome—he even met us at the airport and escorted us all the way to Velodrome. The apartment was spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable, with a great location just steps from everything we wanted to explore. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful and personalized experience, and we couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to any couple looking for a memorable stay in Marseille.

Staying at Massilia Hôtel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Marseille! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and close to metro access, making it super easy to explore everything. The hotel itself feels calm and well-maintained, with clean, comfortable rooms and a friendly, helpful staff. What really stood out was the free parking—huge plus for travelers arriving by car. It’s not just convenient, it’s a great value. Whether you're here for sightseeing or business, this place delivers on every level. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

Staying at Zenitude Hôtel Résidences Marseille Saint-Charles was an absolute highlight of my trip to Marseille. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the train station, making it super convenient for exploring the city or catching trains. I booked a studio with a sofa bed, and it transformed perfectly into a comfortable sleeping space—spacious and cozy, ideal for a relaxed stay. The kitchenette with a countertop was a real game-changer; I could prepare simple meals or grab a quick snack without leaving the apartment, which saved time and money. Safety wasn’t a concern at all—the building felt secure, staff were friendly, and the area was quiet yet well-connected. Everything about this place felt thoughtfully designed for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a home-like atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure visitors to Marseille.

Staying at Radisson Blu Hotel, Marseille Vieux Port was an absolute highlight of my trip. The location couldn’t be better—right next to the historic Old Port, with easy access to public transport and walking distance to top attractions and local eateries. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with modern touches; the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby thanks to excellent soundproofing. Breakfast was a real treat—fresh pastries, local jams, hot drinks, and a great variety to kickstart the day. Everything from the service to the amenities felt premium without feeling overpriced. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and charm in one place. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marseille who wants to experience the city’s authentic vibe while enjoying a high-quality stay. Definitely coming back.

Staying at Le Ryad Boutique Hôtel was a delightful experience from start to finish. The hotel itself has a charming, authentic vibe with beautiful details throughout the property. Even though there’s no elevator, the building is only a few floors high, so it’s manageable—especially with such a fantastic location just steps away from both the metro and tram stops. Walking distance to many key sights made exploring Marseille effortless. One of my favorite moments was waking up to see the cathedral visible through our window—a peaceful and picturesque view. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure we felt welcome. Despite the lack of an elevator, every other aspect of the stay was outstanding. This place truly offers a unique, local feel with excellent value. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Marseille.

As locals familiar with the vibrant energy of Marseille—something we absolutely love—we were completely surprised to discover this peaceful retreat nestled just minutes from the city center, high up in the hills. The scenery feels straight out of a Pagnol film: rustic, charming, and utterly serene. Florence and her husband welcome you with genuine warmth and simplicity that instantly puts you at ease. The two well-appointed rooms, the lovely pool, the lush garden, and especially the homemade breakfast—each element truly makes your stay unforgettable. We’re already planning our return for the next wedding in the area! Thank you, Florence and your husband, for sharing your beautiful home and kindness with us. Wishing you all the best.

This has been the worst hotel experience of my life. The room was damp with a strong moldy smell, walls had visible holes, and the bathroom reeked of dog odor—completely unacceptable. There was only one power outlet in the entire room, and I had to rely on a portable electric heater for warmth. The TV was filthy, and the staff were extremely unpleasant—threatening to raise my deposit from €60 to €160 just because I mentioned some minor issues. The overall condition, cleanliness, and service were appalling. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even as a last resort. If you're visiting Marseille, skip this hotel entirely—there are far better options available.

The location couldn't be better—right across from Marseille's Saint-Charles Train Station, just a two-minute walk from the door. Getting in and out of the city is effortless, especially if you're arriving by train. I stayed on the 8th floor, and the room was spacious with an amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea—waking up to that sight was unforgettable. The room itself was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. From check-in to checkout, the experience was smooth and welcoming. This hotel offers excellent value for money and truly stands out. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Marseille.

Staying at Grand Hôtel Beauvau Marseille Vieux-Port - MGallery was an absolute delight. This historic hotel exudes charm from the moment you step inside, with its elegant French vintage style that feels both timeless and authentic. The room was generously sized—perfect for relaxing—and featured classic French decor with subtle touches of nostalgia. The bathroom and shower area were spacious and well-designed, making it comfortable to freshen up after a day of exploring. The hallway’s period-style interior added to the overall ambiance, giving the whole place a sense of old-world elegance. Breakfast was served in a stunning dining space overlooking the entire Old Port—waking up to that view was pure magic. While the variety wasn’t extensive, the quality was excellent: fresh pastries, local jams, and perfectly brewed coffee made every bite memorable. Staff were incredibly warm and attentive—especially the breakfast team who went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. And just steps away, there’s a fantastic restaurant on-site where dinner was delicious, authentic, and affordable. Cleanliness stood out too—the rooms and public areas were spotless, with consistent housekeeping that made us feel at ease throughout our stay. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: right next to the metro station, within walking distance of shopping districts, major landmarks, and the heart of the Old Port. Whether you're here for sightseeing, business, or just soaking in the Marseille vibe, this hotel delivers convenience, comfort, and character—all in one unforgettable package.

Let’s start with this: this isn’t a hotel, not an apartment, and definitely not a proper room—it’s essentially a converted garage. Finding the entrance was tricky, as everything was hidden and confusing. Once inside, after navigating what felt like a maze to get the key, we stepped into a tiny space immediately hit by a strong musty smell. We had four people booked for a 4-person room, but the layout was chaotic—right by the bed was a completely open shower stall with no privacy, followed by a toilet so small you couldn’t even turn around. The only furniture was a small non-reclining sofa, a kitchenette, and a wall-mounted bed—all crammed into one tight area. We sat down on the sofa, exhausted from travel and searching all day, when suddenly a large cockroach crawled out from under the cabinet straight toward us. Naturally, we filmed it immediately—we weren’t staying. We packed up our bags in under ten minutes and left. By then it was already dark, and with no response from the platform until the next morning, we had to scramble to find another place to stay. Most options were fully booked or didn’t accept cash (we didn’t have foreign cards). We managed to secure accommodation through friends while keeping in touch with customer support. The owner refused to refund our payment for two nights, claiming we’d already stayed and hadn’t contacted them directly. After days of back-and-forth emails, no refund came. I can’t recommend this property at all—photos are misleading, and the host is clearly dishonest. That said, the platform did help by crediting us back one night’s cost in points, which was a small relief.
