Rooms, though on the smaller side, are smartly designed, incredibly comfortable, and feature excellent air conditioning and powerful rain showers. After a long day exploring Lyon, the basement spa area—complete with pool, sauna, steam room, and tea lounge—was pure bliss. The room was clean, well-maintained, and spotless—exactly what you want after a long journey. Breakfast was served in the ground-floor restaurant, which has a bright, open atmosphere and great natural lighting. I had my first-ever experience with a croissant sandwiched with strawberry jam and hoisin sauce—unexpected but surprisingly delicious! There was a little mix-up with my tea order: I asked for a cup of black tea, but the server handed me a tea bag instead. By the time I realized it, I’d already opened it—so I ended up drinking it anyway, which made for a funny moment. It didn’t ruin the experience at all—it actually added a touch of charm.
