Scala Garden Apartment

I'm really glad I found this accommodation in Florence—truly a gem for group travel. It's within walking distance to almost everything, including just a 5-minute stroll to the main SMN train station, making transit super convenient. We traveled as a group of eight and had one extra room unused, which was perfect since the apartment features five bedrooms and four bathrooms: three with private en-suite bathrooms on the main floor, and two more on the upper level—one with an ensuite. The kitchen is well-equipped with a full-sized fridge, oven for reheating leftovers, and even a dishwasher. All essential utensils and dinnerware are provided, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. That said, the unit does feel a bit dated, and cleanliness could’ve been better—there were minor issues like the balcony door not latching properly, which let mosquitoes inside. But the host made up for it with their kindness and flexibility; they allowed us to stay a little longer to wait for our train to Rome, which was incredibly thoughtful. Despite a few small imperfections, the location, space, and hospitality truly made the experience worthwhile. A great choice for families or groups looking for a homey base in the heart of Florence.

Agriturismo Fattoria di Malavolta

Staying at Malavolta Agriturismo was an absolute delight. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and incredibly well-equipped—perfect for two, but easily accommodates four with comfort. Every detail was thoughtfully provided, from kitchen essentials to everyday necessities. The host was warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive—speaking multiple languages and always ready to help. Even better, the location is ideal: just a 15-20 minute bus ride into downtown Florence, with a bus stop just a 10-minute walk away. You get the peace of the countryside without sacrificing convenience. It’s hard to imagine a better base for exploring Tuscany. Highly recommended—this place truly exceeded expectations.

The quiet neighborhood is perfect for unwinding while still being just a short ride from all major attractions. With only a few rooms in a beautifully preserved historic building, the atmosphere feels intimate and authentic. The family-run management adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. This is definitely a place we’ll return to—and one I’d highly recommend.

B & B Eliana

A huge thank you to Eliana — an exceptional host who greeted us with warmth, energy, and genuine professionalism. The location is perfect: just a 15-minute tram ride from the heart of Florence’s historic center, allowing us to leave our car safely in the free, reserved parking area. The room and bathroom were spotless — every detail was thoughtfully maintained. We also had the pleasure of dining on delicious local specialties prepared by Eliana herself, who clearly knows her way around a kitchen. Her daughter Sara and Maria were equally welcoming, making the whole experience feel like staying with friends. This isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a true home away from home. Fattoria Il Milione Agriturismo

Nestled in the rolling hills just outside Florence, Fattoria Il Milione Agriturismo is an absolute gem. The moment you arrive, you're greeted by serene countryside views, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere that instantly calms the mind. The rustic yet cozy accommodations reflect authentic Italian farm life—simple, charming, and spotlessly clean. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed, making for a restful night's sleep. Breakfast was a highlight: homemade bread, local honey, fresh eggs, and seasonal fruits—all sourced directly from the farm. It felt like eating with nature itself. The location is perfect—close enough to Florence for day trips, but far enough to feel truly disconnected from the city’s pace. We loved walking through the gardens, enjoying the quiet evenings, and soaking in the simple beauty of rural Tuscany. Villa Cora

Staying at Villa Cora was an absolute delight from start to finish. The central courtyard is breathtaking—perfectly designed with a timeless elegance that makes you feel like you're in a hidden gem of Tuscany. Located on a hillside, it’s a bit removed from the main tourist spots, but not too far—just a short, scenic run down to Piazzale Michelangelo, which made for a lovely morning workout with stunning views along the way. Currently, there’s only one restaurant on-site, serving breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was excellent—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. Dinner was enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. What truly stands out is the exceptional service: staff are attentive, warm, and genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The outdoor pool area is serene and perfect for relaxing, and I imagine dining by the water would be even more magical at sunset. Despite being slightly off the beaten path, the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful setting, and top-tier hospitality make this hotel a standout choice. Highly recommend for travelers seeking authenticity and charm.

The Excelsior, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Florence

This was hands down the best hotel of my entire European trip. Staying in a room with a private balcony was an absolute highlight—the view of the Arno River from the terrace every morning was pure magic. I started each day by walking along the riverbank, passing through Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and ending at Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views of the city. Florence truly lives up to its reputation as a cultural gem, and this hotel sits right in the heart of it all. The location is perfect—walkable to major sights and just steps away from transit. Breakfast was exceptional: fresh, abundant, and thoughtfully curated with local flavors. Everything felt special, from the elegant ambiance to the attentive service. If you're looking for a memorable stay that blends comfort, convenience, and authentic charm, this place delivers on every level.

The St. Regis Florence

St. Regis Florence is housed in a stunning historic building with an elegant, old-money vibe—every corner feels like a masterpiece, adorned with intricate frescoes and antique furnishings. The Arno River view from my premium room was absolutely worth the price, offering a perfect sightline to the iconic Ponte Vecchio. While the service from my butler was somewhat average (and unfortunately no kids' bathrobes or slippers were provided), the overall experience still shines. I especially loved the morning room service—delivered in a charming little basket, the bread rolls were crisp, fresh, and delicious. It’s rare to find such a blend of heritage charm and luxury at this level, and despite minor oversights, the ambiance, location, and attention to detail make it a truly memorable stay. If you’re looking for a refined, timeless Italian escape, this hotel delivers on every front.
