Honestly, I'm baffled by the 4.4 rating on the platform—this place deserves way more. We stayed in room 3009 and were upgraded by the front desk, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious, quiet, and impeccably clean with big windows that flooded the space with natural light—morning sunrises were absolutely beautiful. Compared to the adjacent 3010 room, ours felt significantly larger. The elevator was fast and silent, a huge upgrade from the other Oakwood property in the same complex. When we arrived, two friendly staff members immediately came over to help with our luggage and even carried it straight to our room—something I’ve never experienced at a five-star hotel like the Garden Hotel, where you’re always left to carry your own bags. Even the chance to tip was missing! Breakfast was small but thoughtfully curated—each item was delicious and fresh. Sitting by the window enjoying a quiet morning meal while watching the city come alive was pure joy. The staff in the dining area were warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. This was hands down the best hotel experience of our trip—having stayed at the Jin Mao in Shanghai, the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, and the Guoguang Haosheng in Sanya. If you're looking for comfort, service, and value, this is it. I’ll definitely be back.

Just a 5-minute walk from Exit A2 of Zhanjiang New Town Metro Station, it’s super convenient for getting around. The property is clean, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. I enjoyed walking to Hai Xinsha to check out the exhibition — only about 10 minutes away. In the evening, I had a delicious Cantonese meal right downstairs and then strolled over to Huacheng Plaza, where the night views were stunning. Being centrally located in Zhujiang New Town, the proximity to major attractions made sightseeing effortless. For the price, the value-for-money is outstanding — no need to worry about transportation, just step out and explore. Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience, comfort, and great access to everything.

The bed is just the right firmness—not too soft that you sink into it, not too hard either. It’s perfectly balanced, and the pillows are great too—neither too fluffy nor too high, providing excellent support. To be honest, I slept better here than in some so-called five-star hotels I’ve stayed at before. The room has a slightly vintage decor style, which gives it a unique charm rather than feeling outdated. Located just steps from Modiesha Metro Station, it’s super convenient to get to Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and overall, the value for money is outstanding. I’ll definitely come back if I’m ever in Guangzhou again.
