Budapest Hotel
Second stay at Budapest Hotel and still absolutely delighted! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Red Square and all the surrounding sights. This time, I finally cracked the metro system, which made getting around so much more efficient. The subway here is stunning—clean, fast, and easy to navigate. The hotel itself continues to impress with its comfort and excellent service. It feels like coming home every time. I’m already planning my third visit! If you’re in Moscow, don’t miss this gem.
Rosso Riva Hotel
We stayed at this hotel with my husband and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is excellent—close to the city center, making it super convenient to explore Moscow on foot or by metro. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet-style spread with a good variety of options—both hot and cold dishes, plus drinks. We were a bit disappointed that the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi weren’t available during our visit, but we still enjoyed the spa area, especially the relaxing whirlpool. The staff was outstanding—the manager, Oleg, went above and beyond. He welcomed us warmly, offered a vase for flowers, answered all our questions patiently, and made us feel truly valued. His professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression. This place offers great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it to others. Would book again without hesitation.

I've stayed at Gesten Hotel more than once, and it never fails to impress. The location is unbeatable—right next to a metro station, with Red Square just a short 5-minute walk away. For Moscow’s city center, the price is very reasonable and offers excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is delicious—plus, you can order it to your room, which is a nice touch. The rooms are simple but well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only minor downside is the soundproofing; occasionally, you can hear what's happening in the adjacent room, but it’s not disruptive. Overall, this hotel delivers exactly what you’d expect from a central, reliable, and affordable option in Moscow. Highly recommend!

I can't recommend this hotel at all—our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply unsettling. While the location is convenient, just a short metro ride away, the service was appalling. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive, with no regard for basic customer respect. Later, a manager named Sergey reached out, claiming he wanted to understand the situation—but his real goal seemed to be persuading us to delete our negative review. He even tried to shift blame onto me, suggesting I was at fault for the incident. When we explained that we had to cancel due to a family member’s sudden heart attack—well in advance (12 days prior), and with full prepayment for four nights—he insisted the rate was non-refundable and that our circumstances didn’t matter. He cited a message stating, 'By choosing a non-refundable rate, you accept all risks—you’ll never get your money back, even if something serious happens.' We sent medical documentation, flight tickets, and booking details as proof of the emergency, but he still refused to refund us, saying the evidence wasn’t sufficient. This contradicts Russian consumer protection laws: when services aren’t provided due to unforeseen circumstances, refunds are legally required. There was zero empathy, no understanding, and no humanity in their response. Instead, they offered a voucher in exchange for deleting our feedback—like we were the ones who caused the problem. This kind of behavior feels predatory. We’re now preparing to file a police report and take legal action for fraudulent practices. Please, avoid this hotel. Don’t let them profit from your trust. Choose a place with integrity, compassion, and transparency instead.

The check-in time is at 2:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM, which felt a bit tight at first, but the staff were helpful and allowed early luggage storage—so I didn’t have to carry my bags around while waiting. I appreciated that I could leave my stuff safely even before check-in, especially since there were plenty of empty capsules available. One minor downside was the faint noise from the ventilation system inside the capsules, which might bother light sleepers. Also, the lockers are quite small, so drying shoes or storing larger items isn’t ideal. But despite those small issues, the hotel is clean, well-maintained, and located in a convenient area. Great value for money, and I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Moscow.
