Despite being around for years, the hotel doesn’t feel outdated at all—the rooms and public areas are well-maintained and fresh. One small note: although smoking is clearly prohibited indoors, there was still a faint lingering smoke smell near the lounge seating and restrooms in the lower lobby area. It might be worth improving the ventilation system or relocating the seating to a better-ventilated space, such as the atrium area. Overall, the hotel delivers on comfort, service, and convenience—excellent value for money and a great location. I’d definitely come back.

Staying at The Westin Pazhou in Guangzhou was an absolutely fantastic experience. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, especially the Heavenly Bed—so soft and supportive that I slept like a baby. They upgraded me to a high-floor riverside view room, and the panoramic views of the Pearl River were breathtaking. Waking up to that view was pure joy. Breakfast was included and exceeded expectations—plenty of variety, from delicious dim sum (the rice noodle rolls were amazing) to fresh fruits and western options. Staff were attentive and responded instantly to any request—truly hospitality at its finest. Free parking is a big plus, and being just a 5-minute walk from the metro station makes exploring the city effortless. This hotel offers outstanding value for money and a memorable stay. We stayed in the Garden Room, which features a warm, natural wood aesthetic and has some of the tallest ceilings I’ve seen in similar hotels in Guangzhou. The spacious layout feels open and airy, and the floor-to-ceiling windows overlook lush greenery. Waking up to that view first thing in the morning instantly lifts your mood. One of the coolest touches? Food delivery arrives via robot—super convenient. And if your meal gets cold, the room comes with a microwave so you can reheat it right away. Total relaxation mode: unlocked. Service is also top-notch—special shoutout to Dana, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and genuinely attentive. She made the stay feel personal and memorable. Staying at this Fairfield by Marriott was a pleasant experience overall. The room may feel a bit older compared to newer properties, but the brand’s signature standards are still very much present—cleanliness, comfort, and service quality are all on point. Parking is a major plus: there’s a spacious lot right outside, making arrival and departure stress-free. The bathroom was a standout—strong water pressure and excellent shower fixtures made for a refreshing experience. One thing to note: our room had an open-concept toilet area with no walls or door, so privacy is limited. If you're sensitive about that, it's worth considering before booking. The bellhop and housekeeping team were friendly and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel truly welcome. Our room was larger than expected, with a sleek modern minimalist design, spotless cleanliness, and incredibly comfortable bedding—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom features a well-designed wet/dry separation, and the water pressure and temperature were consistently excellent. Bonus points for the complimentary minibar and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. Breakfast was a highlight—diverse options blending Chinese and Western favorites, all freshly prepared and delicious.
