The hotel’s location is unbeatable; right next to the train station, we picked up a $10.40 family day pass for unlimited public transit across Perth. We explored the city effortlessly, and it was especially convenient for visiting Chinatown nearby. The area is safe, even at night, and there are plenty of affordable, delicious Chinese restaurants within walking distance. The bedroom didn’t have air conditioning, but the living area had strong cooling, so it wasn’t an issue. Just a heads-up: there’s no mobile key access—guests need to bring a local bank card for check-in. A refundable deposit of AUD 300 is required, which will be returned within five business days after checkout. Location is great, clean, well-maintained, and the value for money is excellent. Definitely a place I’d recommend and return to.

Every morning, they provide fresh bread for toast or PB&J, plus cereal and milk—perfect for a quick breakfast without leaving the hostel. The private room was spacious, well-equipped with a kettle, mugs, and complimentary tea and coffee supplies. There’s a $10 refundable deposit for dining sets, which is fair considering the quality. One small downside: Wi-Fi is only available in common areas, so no internet in the room. But the staff more than make up for it—they’re friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. We followed their advice to book a ferry to Rottnest Island to see the quokkas, and they even arranged pickup and drop-off, making the whole experience seamless. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked, so preparing your own meals is easy and enjoyable. Overall, this place offers excellent value, a welcoming vibe, and a great base for exploring Perth.

Our new manager was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. Overall, this was more than just a place to sleep—it was a memorable experience full of great people, good energy, and genuine hospitality. We’d absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
