While we had to skip visiting the Forbidden City and Zhang Zuolin’s Former Residence, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise—we ended up staying at this amazing hotel instead. The rooms were spotless, modern, and warmly heated, with fantastic city views from the windows. I was pleasantly surprised to find Chinese brand toothpaste—very nostalgic! Water pressure in the shower was perfect, not too strong or weak, and the bathroom had zero unpleasant odors. The laundry room worked really well, and I appreciated the thoughtfully placed travel tips right by the elevator—super helpful for planning our days. The only minor downside?
