One of the highlights was the delivery robot bringing my takeout directly to the door—such a fun and convenient touch! The laundry area was also very clean and hygienic, which made using it a breeze. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, offering something for everyone. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful—two young guys who were not only friendly and professional but went above and beyond to assist me as a first-time visitor to Xiamen. When I needed to store something temporarily, even though the room didn’t have a fridge, they kindly arranged for it to be kept chilled in the kitchen area. And upon check-out, they even handed me local snacks as a sweet farewell gift. It’s clear this hotel genuinely cares about guest comfort and experience. From cleanliness to personal touches, every detail reflects attention and warmth. If I ever return to Xiamen, this will definitely be my top choice again. A truly memorable stay that exceeded expectations.

The nearby restaurant, Linjia—a well-known local chain—was worth a visit; their famous cuttlefish stew was delicious, though slightly pricier than expected. While the hotel has seen some years of use and the furnishings are dated, everything functions perfectly fine for basic needs. The shampoo provided was surprisingly good—soft texture and nice scent, which made the stay more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a quiet, no-frills place close to transportation, especially for travelers who value peace and practicality.

The room itself is immaculately maintained: the smart toilet works flawlessly, the HD TV delivers crisp picture quality, and the Wi-Fi is lightning fast—no buffering during streaming or work calls. The bedding stands out—medium-firm mattress, perfectly balanced for comfort, and a down duvet that’s light yet cozy enough to keep you warm all night. Staff are attentive and helpful; they greeted us warmly, shared details about laundry facilities and breakfast timing, and even offered a thoughtful late-night bowl of hot porridge. Cleanliness is top-notch—the bathroom features full dry-wet separation, with spotless white tiles and no lingering chemical smell in the towels. The lobby lounge area is a real gem—quiet, tastefully designed, with complimentary aromatic tea and a peaceful vibe ideal for working remotely or meeting a friend. The only minor drawback? The room size is compact, around 20 sqm—opening a 28-inch suitcase leaves little walking space, so if you're traveling with a partner, you might need to take turns unpacking. But for travelers who mainly sleep here and spend days exploring the city, the layout is efficient and functional. Overall, an excellent choice with strong value for money.

Stayed at Putian Hotel (Xiamen Mingfa Plaza) and was genuinely impressed by the outstanding value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious—far bigger than expected for the price—and everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The new front desk staff member, Yu Ni, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Even when we weren’t sure how to ask our questions, she patiently guided us through everything. Location is excellent too—just a short walk from Xiamen Railway Station and surrounded by great dining options. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Xiamen!
