After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

Everything you’d need was provided: shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, towels, bath sheets, hairdryer, electric kettle—all thoughtfully included. The water heater delivered strong, consistent hot water, making showers very comfortable. We even got plastic slippers for use in the bathroom. The bed was incredibly cozy, and we slept like babies. Even though it was raining during our stay, lying in bed listening to the gentle sound of rain tapping against the balcony window was oddly peaceful. There were few other guests around, so the place felt quiet and intimate. While the property isn’t right next to a metro station, getting there by taxi or bus was easy and convenient. Unfortunately, we couldn’t explore the neighborhood due to the weather, but I’ll definitely come back if I visit Xiamen again. This place offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, charm, and value—highly recommend!
