Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

I started with a king-size room and later switched to a twin-bed room. Honestly, I found the king-size room had a more spacious and open layout—much more comfortable overall. The twin room was still quite large, but felt slightly cramped in comparison, especially the bathroom area. It also seemed less well-maintained—the tiles had water stains, and there was a faint odor coming from the drain. That said, cleanliness across the room was still good, and the beds were nicely soft with high-quality linens that made for a very restful night’s sleep. If the twin room’s maintenance could be improved—especially around the bathroom—the experience would be even better. Overall, the king-size room stood out as the clear winner in terms of comfort and space, making it a great choice for travelers who value a relaxed, airy feel.

We stayed at Pan Pacific Xiamen with our kids and booked the adorable Minion-themed room—so much fun! From the moment we walked in, everything was covered in cheerful yellow duck motifs. The front desk staff, especially Miss Huang Jinhua, was incredibly helpful—we asked if she could print out our child’s homework, and she did it right away without hesitation. The whole hotel exudes that classic old-money elegance, with thoughtful touches everywhere—from the decor to the service. It’s clear they care about every guest experience. Our original twin-bed room wasn’t ideal for traveling with kids, so they instantly upgraded us to a family-friendly room with an enormous bed—perfect for everyone! One highlight was the kids’ play area on the 4th floor. We called ahead, and within just one minute, someone opened the door. Even though it was just us, the concierge manager Andy Yang personally stayed with our child, playing games and keeping him entertained—our little one had a blast. When we were leaving, Andy walked us all the way to the car, reminded the kid to dress warmly, and made sure he wouldn’t catch a cold. That level of care truly touched us. From start to finish, every detail felt personal and warm. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home away from home. I’ll definitely come back here next time I visit Xiamen.
