Staying at Celebrity City Hotel in Chengdu was a truly pleasant experience. Though the hotel has a classic, older feel with some slightly dated facilities, the service more than makes up for it. From the moment I walked in, staff member Xiao Zou at reception was warm, efficient, and made check-in smooth and welcoming. The room itself was spotlessly clean—every corner meticulously cleaned—and the housekeeping team, especially Sister Wang Rong, went above and beyond with their attention to detail and genuine hospitality. It felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just checking into a hotel. One of the highlights? The robot delivery service—it brought my meals straight to my door without any hassle. Plus, the location is fantastic: close to major attractions and easily accessible by metro. Even though the amenities aren’t brand new, the overall vibe, cleanliness, and exceptional service make this place a standout. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Millennium Hotel Chengdu
Staying at Millennium Hotel Chengdu (South Station Branch) was a great experience overall. The room I booked was a scenic view room with plenty of space, and the view across the street to Xianshentree Park was absolutely stunning—perfect for morning light or evening city views. However, the windows were completely non-operable, which made ventilation an issue. I understand safety concerns due to the high floor level, but allowing a small opening would be much more practical than having no airflow at all. The staff were excellent—especially the concierge who helped me collect my package, saving me a lot of time. For food delivery, unfortunately, you have to go downstairs yourself to pick it up; a robot delivery service would be a nice upgrade. The laundry room only has one dryer, which became a major bottleneck during peak holiday periods—adding another unit would make a big difference. On the hygiene side, there’s room for improvement: no trash bags in any of the bins, making them uncomfortable to use, and there were stubborn stains on the bathroom floor that weren’t visible until I moved the carpet accidentally. Despite these minor issues, the hotel met my expectations. Great location, good value, and I’d definitely choose this place again when visiting Chengdu.

Honestly, it exceeded all expectations—affordable price, plus we were upgraded to a riverside suite at no extra cost! That alone made the stay worth every penny. The location is fantastic, just steps away from Chunxi Road, making it super easy to get around by taxi or public transport. They also provide two free drinks each day—a small but thoughtful touch that added to the comfort. Special shoutout to the Tibetan front desk staff, Zhi Li Zhangzhi—such a unique name, we couldn’t help but laugh! His friendly service truly stood out. I’ll definitely be booking again and asking for him by name. A top-tier experience in every way.
