Academia Vasilevsky Boutique-Hotel

We stayed here as a family of three, and it was the perfect choice! The room was spacious, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable family trip—especially great for kids. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering local tips and directions that made exploring the city easy. We initially booked just a few days, but when we realized how much we loved it—especially during the National Day holiday period—we were disappointed to find out the hotel was fully booked for the remaining days. We had to switch to another place last minute. That said, this experience only confirms that we’ll definitely book here again on our next visit to St. Petersburg. It’s not just convenient—it’s truly special.

Latti St.Petersburg

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to St. Petersburg, and I chose it mainly for the convenient location—just a short walk from the metro. The room was clean, not overly spacious but more than enough for a single traveler. I appreciated having access to a well-maintained washing machine, which I used a few times during my stay. There's also a small kitchenette with a multi-cooker and a microwave—perfect for preparing simple meals when you don't want to go out. The only minor hiccup was finding the entrance at first, but the front desk staff quickly guided me and even greeted me warmly. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The best part? The microwave is available 24/7, perfect for warming up meals late at night or early in the morning. It's incredibly convenient, especially if you're traveling light. The location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk to the Sphinxes, and about 20–30 minutes on foot to both the Mariinsky Theatre and the Hermitage Museum. 338 Na Mira Hotel

Staying at 338 Na Mira Hotel exceeded all my expectations! I was looking for a budget-friendly option, and this place delivered incredible value for the price. The location is perfect—just one metro stop from Nevsky Prospekt, with a quiet neighborhood full of cafes and small shops nearby. My room was spotless, featuring blackout curtains, a hairdryer, and even a shoe dryer—such thoughtful touches! Common areas had complimentary tea, coffee, filtered water, kitchenware, and a microwave, making it easy to prepare light meals. They also provided an iron and ironing board, which came in handy during my trip. Everything was clean, including the bathroom, with soap, shampoo, and shower gel supplied. Demokrat na Kamennoostrovskom 26-28 Hotel

I stayed at this hotel in Saint Petersburg, located in a historic building once owned by the Benois family, but I can’t recommend it—despite the architectural charm, the service and basic hospitality were severely lacking. Upon arrival, I was scolded for checking in one hour earlier than the approximate time I’d indicated on the form (which clearly stated 'around' a certain time), even though I arrived well within front desk hours. The receptionist seemed annoyed that I disrupted her plans to leave early, which felt incredibly unprofessional. The mattress in my room was old, sagging, and painful—my back hurt throughout the entire week, and I woke up multiple times each night. For someone just seeking a decent place to sleep, this hotel completely failed the most fundamental requirement. Towels were tiny—barely enough for your body, let alone your head—and the toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) were sold separately for 100 rubles, which felt outrageous. Breakfast was so minimal it wasn’t worth mentioning; if you overslept, you’d lose nothing. Throughout my stay, I had to call the concierge three times just to get back into the building—each time, I was interrogated as if I might be an intruder. But the worst moment came during check-out. I’d arranged to leave my luggage until 3 PM, but when I returned at 4 PM, the concierge refused to let me enter the lobby, claiming it was a private residence and I couldn’t wait inside. With temperatures dropping to -20°C, she told me to ‘go for a walk’ while waiting for the owner. I refused and kept calling the intercom, pleading to be allowed in to collect my bag and make my train. She then threatened to call police, accusing me of ‘hooliganism’ for trying to retrieve my belongings during business hours. I had no choice but to call the police myself. They arrived, took my statement, and only then was I finally admitted. Once inside, I waited another 7–10 minutes at the door before the same manager who’d supposedly ‘left’ opened up—she immediately screamed at me for arriving at ‘inconvenient’ 4 PM, berating me harshly. Later, I overheard the concierge asking the manager why she’d ‘let me go’ instead of holding me back. I still don’t understand how or why she could legally detain me. Fortunately, the police were there to protect my rights. This experience left me deeply disappointed—not just in the hotel, but in the idea that such places still exist. Please avoid this property.
