The hotel’s design is bold and futuristic, with a vibrant, energetic atmosphere in the lobby that’s perfect for those who love modern urban style. Rooms are sleek, well-equipped, and feature top-quality bedding—super comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Instant photo ops and pure joy. A special thanks to Manager Mu Yan at the Executive Lounge—he was incredibly attentive, courteous, and made every guest feel truly valued. This level of hospitality is rare. I’m already planning my next visit to Guangzhou just to come back here.

This hotel is incredibly convenient—right above the Tiyu Xi Road Metro Station, making it super easy to get to the high-speed rail station or airport. When it comes to dining, shopping, and entertainment, you can’t beat the location: Tianhe City, TIANHuan, and Zhengjia are literally just steps away. Despite being around for years, the hotel doesn’t feel outdated at all—the rooms and public areas are well-maintained and fresh. The staff are attentive and genuinely helpful, going the extra mile without being pushy. Breakfast is a highlight—wide variety, excellent quality, and great value for money. If I ever return to Guangzhou, this will be my top choice again. Highly recommend!

That first morning, I was checked in by a young staff member wearing glasses. At first, her service was standard—but as soon as she saw my booking came from a third-party platform, her attitude shifted dramatically. She became unusually polite, even respectful, handed me my key with both hands, and offered breakfast on the house, saying she hoped I’d visit again. My room was 1225—perfectly oriented. Morning light flooded in, casting a warm, golden-orange glow that reminded me of the iPhone 17 Pro’s color palette. By night, the view over Tianhe Plaza lit up with dazzling city energy—far better than any other Marriott I’ve stayed at before. On day two, I checked in again using the Marriott app. A different lady greeted me—initially friendly, but once she saw it was a direct booking from Marriott’s own system, her tone changed completely. No more smiles, no courtesy words, just a detached, indifferent demeanor. Even more surprising? The first night, no deposit was required. The second night, I was asked to pay one. That contrast couldn’t have been starker. As someone who doesn’t know hotel internal systems and doesn’t socialize with staff, I can only go by what I experienced. Honestly, the service quality felt far better when booking through third-party apps—warm, thoughtful, welcoming. But with direct bookings, while the perks are great, the front desk treatment took a serious hit. I was seriously considering staying longer—this location is unbeatable: steps from metro, right in the heart of shopping and dining. Staying at The Westin Guangzhou was a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were genuinely thoughtful, offering helpful tips about breakfast timing and even recommending some must-try dishes. Breakfast options were impressive—plenty of Western pastries, fresh juices, and salads. While the Cantonese dim sum selection was a bit limited, the made-to-order items like cheung fun, congee, noodles, and baked goods were all delicious and freshly prepared. One small note: although smoking is clearly prohibited indoors, there was still a faint lingering smoke smell near the lounge seating and restrooms in the lower lobby area. It might be worth improving the ventilation system or relocating the seating to a better-ventilated space, such as the atrium area. Overall, the hotel delivers on comfort, service, and convenience—excellent value for money and a great location. I’d definitely come back.

Just a 5-minute walk from Exit A2 of Zhanjiang New Town Metro Station, it’s super convenient for getting around. The property is clean, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. I enjoyed walking to Hai Xinsha to check out the exhibition — only about 10 minutes away. In the evening, I had a delicious Cantonese meal right downstairs and then strolled over to Huacheng Plaza, where the night views were stunning. Being centrally located in Zhujiang New Town, the proximity to major attractions made sightseeing effortless. For the price, the value-for-money is outstanding — no need to worry about transportation, just step out and explore. Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience, comfort, and great access to everything.
