The hotel's location is unbeatable—right next to Hyde Park, making it super convenient to explore Sydney’s top attractions without needing to rely on taxis or complicated transfers. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any request promptly. The room came equipped with a fridge and microwave—perfect for preparing simple breakfasts and saving money. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so everything you need is just a short walk away. One of the best things? Excellent soundproofing—no noise from the hallway or outside, which made for a peaceful and restful sleep every night. This place offers great value for money and is definitely worth recommending. I’ll be booking again on my next visit to Sydney!

Staying at Orange Stay Apartments Potts Point was a solid choice, especially for the location. The building is just steps away from King Cross Metro station, with a bus stop right outside—perfect for getting around Sydney. The area itself is vibrant, packed with diverse restaurants, local markets, and shops, making daily life super convenient. The apartment had a smart access system with magnetic key cards for both the main door and elevator. We were in a two-bedroom unit: the larger bedroom had a built-in wardrobe and a private balcony—great for relaxing. However, the second bedroom wasn’t ideal; it was separated from the living area by a partial wall that didn’t reach the ceiling, and there was only one narrow shelf for clothes. Plus, it faced a very noisy street, so we had to keep the window closed most of the time. The open-plan living-dining area included a full kitchenette, and the bathroom came with a shower. Wi-Fi was strong and reliable. Cleaning was done weekly, and while not daily, they provided essentials like toiletries, dish soap, and laundry detergent. Since there’s no front desk, we coordinated our check-in time directly with the onsite manager who gave us his contact number. For checkout, we simply left the keys inside the unit and walked out—no hassle at all. The rate was the highest among all my accommodations in Australia, but considering Sydney’s premium pricing and prime location, it felt justified. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you value convenience, great transport links, and a central base in a lively neighborhood.

Perfect for a family getaway! We stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite that comfortably accommodated our family of four. The room was incredibly well-equipped—washing machine and dryer combo, ample closet space with plenty of hangers, a full kitchen including oven, microwave, complete cookware (pots, pans, utensils, cutting boards), and even a dishwasher. They even stocked vitamin C supplements—such a thoughtful touch for families. The lobby area is fantastic too: board games, coffee machine, and tea service make it a great spot for kids to relax while parents unwind. Location-wise, everything we needed was within walking distance—just 1.1 km to St. Mary’s Cathedral, Hyde Park, and the Australian Museum. A supermarket is about 800 meters away, perfect for grabbing fresh fruit or snacks. And during Christmas, they surprised us with candy and festive socks—so sweet and memorable! If we ever return to Sydney, this will be our top choice again.

Ibis Budget St Peters
I chose a ground-floor room because I wanted air conditioning, but the space was quite compact and the view from the curtains just showed the parking lot—definitely not ideal. This is the first Ibis Budget property I’ve stayed at where the experience felt underwhelming. The toilet didn’t have a lid, the shower area lacked proper ventilation so it stayed damp after use, and water pressure was extremely low—taking a shower felt like waiting for a trickle. Also, the bathroom faucet made an annoying high-pitched noise as soon as it was turned on. While the location is convenient for public transport, these issues really dragged down the overall value. It’s disappointing for a brand that usually offers solid basics. Not something I’d book again without significant improvements.
