City Stays Alegria Apartments
I booked seven days in advance, but the room itself was clean and very comfortable—definitely a plus. The main issue was poor internet connection when I first made the reservation. Shortly after confirmation, I received an email for online check-in, but I didn’t see it until I arrived at Lisbon Airport. That meant waiting nearly two hours to access my room, arriving around 1:30 AM. Even with digital entry, the lack of timely communication really impacted the experience. The front desk could have done better in ensuring guests received key details on time. Still, the room quality is excellent, and the location is convenient. With improved communication, I’d definitely consider staying again.

We stayed for three nights at this property and overall, it was a mixed experience. The check-in process is self-managed via a code-locked box with keys, which is convenient but lacks personal touch. Our room (number 4) had a few noticeable issues: the beds creaked loudly, making it hard to fall asleep; the bathroom sink was very small for four guests, especially considering the room's size; and the large showerhead didn’t work at all. There’s also a lack of power outlets—only one small multiplug by the wall and another tucked away under the sink in the bathroom, which is far from ideal. The kitchen is functional enough: shared fridge, shelves, microwave, oven, toaster, and kettle are available. However, the kitchen faucet is extremely loose—the handle is difficult to turn when adjusting water temperature. On the bright side, the outdoor dining area is charming and private. Just under 10 meters away, you’ll find a supermarket, a metro station, and a bus stop, making it super easy to get into central Lisbon. One major downside: the parking spot advertised isn’t nearby at all. We ended up parking on a nearby street, paying €8 per day, which felt misleading. Overall, there’s potential, but several improvements—especially in comfort, functionality, and transparency—are needed to make this stay more enjoyable.
