The hotel is just steps away from Xujiahui Cathedral and Xujiahui Library, with luxury shopping hubs like Hongkong Plaza and Meiluo City nearby. If you're heading to Shanghai Stadium or Sports Arena for a concert, it's only one stop on the metro—or even easier, a short walk or bike ride away. This A.T.HOUSE property has that modern art vibe I love. The second-floor afternoon tea lounge and late-night dining spot are both stylish and inviting. The pastries are delicious, and the chicken soup wontons as well as the pork-filled dumplings are seriously satisfying. I was originally booked into a room type that wasn’t available yet, but the team kindly upgraded me to a Premium Suite—huge upgrade in space, view, and design. Everything felt thoughtfully curated. I ordered fresh fruit platters after my concert, and they arrived at my door in no time. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the service throughout was top-notch. Even at check-out, they handed me a lovely souvenir—a large record-shaped biscuit box that’s both cute and tasty. If there’s another concert in town, this will be my go-to hotel again.

Despite the heavy crowd and high pressure on staff, the team handled everything with remarkable calm and efficiency. It’s rare to see such professionalism under busy conditions. Staying in the hotel during chilly weather, enjoying great food, and just unwinding—it felt like the perfect balance of comfort and indulgence. Special shoutout to Xiao Xu (Xiao X) at reception—quiet but incredibly effective, with that classic Shanghai sense of understated excellence. This place truly captures the spirit of Shanghai, and I’d definitely come back.

To my pleasant surprise, the front desk staff quickly found an available room that had already been cleaned and processed our check-in right away—such a helpful gesture! During our three-day stay, the housekeeping staff, Ms. Li Yunhua, noticed we only drank white tea and kindly left extra tea bags on the table—so thoughtful and personal. The room was spotless, well-maintained, with plenty of bottled water. On departure day, since our flight was in the late afternoon, the front desk generously extended our checkout time by two hours without any hassle. It made our travel transition so much smoother. Overall, our entire stay at this Ji Hotel location was excellent—comfortable, clean, and above all, exceptionally well-served. If we ever return to Shanghai for family visits, this will definitely be our first choice again.
