Our room was spacious and inviting—featuring a plush bed, cozy sofa, writing desk, and a private balcony overlooking lush gardens. We were greeted with thoughtful touches: a fridge stocked with refreshments and fresh bottled water replenished daily. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional—varied, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The bar was a highlight too, offering small plates and tapas all day long, plus fun experiences like a Poncha cocktail workshop and a gin tasting session that added real charm to our stay. But what truly sets this place apart are the staff—every single one of them goes above and beyond. The front desk team was incredibly helpful, sharing local tips, restaurant recommendations, and even bus schedules. Restaurant staff, though busy, always had a smile and a friendly chat. The bartenders made cocktails with care and personality. Even the housekeeping team stood out—our room was immaculate every day, and the entire property looked pristine, from the pools to the garden paths. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were clean, well-maintained, and inviting—the indoor one especially warm and relaxing. After staying at many wonderful hotels worldwide, this one easily stands out as the best experience so far. I can’t recommend it enough. If I ever return to Madeira, this will be my first choice.

The city center is a bit of a distance away, but there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, making transit easy. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming—mostly standard Western-style options with very few warm or hearty choices like soups or stews. That said, the bathroom amenities were decent, at least they came from a recognizable brand. Overall, this place offers great value, comfort, and a beautiful setting. Definitely worth staying again!

Terrible experience—absolutely avoid this place. The host contacted us the day before arrival to confirm our check-in time, but when we arrived (a family with a baby), we were already at 4:00 PM and had to wait another 30 minutes for any response. The reason? The person holding the keys was the host’s sister, who was running late. We ended up having to drive around unfamiliar streets in our rental car just to meet her at her workplace. After getting the keys, we still had to figure out how to reach the apartment ourselves—no guidance, no help, nothing. Both the host and his sister were rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking in hospitality. At one point, the woman even told my husband, 'You need me to have a place to sleep, but I don’t need you at all.' That kind of attitude is unacceptable. The entire process felt surreal and far beyond what the property’s rating suggests. We never disrespected them, yet received zero respect in return. This was not just disappointing—it was deeply frustrating. Stay away.
