Staying at The Royal Garden Hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Tsim Sha Tsui and Jordan MTR stations, with easy access to Star Ferry, Avenue of Stars, and Harbour City. There are so many great dining options nearby—I had to check out Wah Sow Ice Cream Parlour and Rong Ge Peking Duck, both of which were fantastic. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a water dispenser, a three-in-one USB cable, and a power adapter. The bed was big enough for a family of three—no complaints at all. I also couldn’t resist trying the hotel’s famous pastries—the croissants and Napoleon pastries are worth every bite, and as a guest, I got 15% off (not 8.5%, but still a sweet deal!). One small note: a deposit is required upon check-in, and while Alipay and WeChat Pay aren’t accepted, using a physical credit card via UnionPay worked smoothly. Staff were helpful and even reminded me how to speed up the refund process. On my way back, I caught the A21 airport bus right outside the hotel—waited only about 15 minutes, and arrived at the airport in roughly one hour. Everything was smooth, convenient, and stress-free. I loved how close it was to the Star Ferry scenic route and the Mid-Levels escalator; I could easily explore the area without needing to carry bags or worry about luggage. Even when heading to the airport, the transfer via Central and the Airport Express took under 15 minutes including walking time—super smooth. Breakfast is redeemable at a nearby café, and don’t miss the bakery across the street—the one that opens at 8:00 AM. It’s the earliest option by far (others open at 9:00), and their pastries are fresh and delicious. There's also a 7-Eleven right next door for late-night snacks or essentials. The room itself is spacious with no feeling of being cramped. The smart water dispenser and excellent coffee machine made mornings special. I stayed two nights, and housekeeping came in promptly—no hassle at all. The HK$1,000 deposit is standard, but check-out was fast and efficient. Overall, this place offers incredible value for money, great location, and a warm, thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for a quiet yet central base in Hong Kong, especially if you love convenience and local charm, this hotel is a must-try.

This is my fourth stay at Tung Nam Lou Art Hotel, and I’m consistently impressed. This time, the front desk team was all male—strong yet gentle, with a warm and professional demeanor that made me feel right at home. The room was as clean and well-organized as ever, and I noticed even better attention to hygiene than before. Some of the staff were new faces, but their courtesy and professionalism were spot-on. As I walked into the lobby, I noticed a group of young women celebrating a birthday. Turns out, the female owner personally organized a little surprise for her employees—and even invited me to join in with a slice of birthday cake! Honestly, it was such a thoughtful gesture, and so rare these days. How many business owners still go out of their way like this? That kind of personal touch really sets this place apart. Later, while enjoying a quiet moment on the 5th-floor rooftop terrace, I happened to see a content creator taking photos. She commented how much the hotel exudes an artistic vibe—very Instagram-worthy! She said she’d definitely consider staying here next time. 😂 I truly hope the entire team continues to work together with heart and purpose. It’s clear this hotel thrives on genuine care and culture. I left feeling happy, inspired, and already planning my next visit. Can’t recommend enough!
