DoubleTree by Hilton Santiago Kennedy

Staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Santiago Kennedy was an absolute highlight of my trip to Santiago. The location is fantastic—right near a safe, upscale neighborhood with easy access to dining spots just a short walk away. I found it super convenient to get to the historic city center via Uber, and the ride was quick and affordable. Contrary to what some people say, Santiago isn’t as dangerous as it’s often portrayed. I walked around the old town area without any issues—just kept a low profile and avoided showing off valuables, and everything felt completely safe. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a great balance of comfort and convenience. If you're looking for a reliable, secure base in Santiago, this is definitely one of the top choices. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hotel Ismael

This hotel is perfectly located—quiet and peaceful, yet just a 2-minute walk from lively streets filled with great bars and restaurants. It’s only an 8-minute walk to the nearest metro station, making city exploration super convenient. Right in front of the property is a beautifully shaded park, perfect for morning walks or relaxing after a long day. The grab-and-go breakfast is a real highlight, especially if you're hitting the road early for sightseeing or heading to the airport. Everything about this place feels thoughtfully designed—comfortable, well-located, and incredibly convenient. A top-tier stay that truly delivers on every level.

Hostal Rio Amazonas

This hostel truly exceeded my expectations. Located just steps away from the Argentine Embassy and within easy walking distance of the metro, getting around Santiago was incredibly convenient. I booked the smallest private room—definitely not a shared dorm—and it was surprisingly comfortable with a window, great natural light, and a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast wasn’t self-service but served as a set menu, and it was delicious and satisfying. What really stood out was the front desk staff. During my trip, I accidentally got something in my eye, and by Friday evening, the university hospital’s ophthalmology department had closed. Emergency services wouldn’t take me either. On Saturday morning, I asked if they could help me find a doctor—most websites were in Spanish, which made things tough. Without hesitation, the staff went online, called multiple clinics, and finally managed to connect me with a private eye clinic (similar to an 'Eye Hospital' in Hong Kong). They helped me get seen promptly and resolved the issue. Their kindness and dedication made a huge difference during a stressful moment. This place isn’t just about location or rooms—it’s about genuine care. Highly recommend for any traveler visiting Santiago, especially those who value helpful service and a welcoming vibe.

Hotel Acacias de Vitacura

Staying at Hotel Acacias de Vitacura felt like discovering a hidden oasis in the heart of Santiago. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful—from welcoming me upon arrival to going the extra mile by cleaning my rental car when I left it a bit dusty. The security lady stood out with her warm smile and shared her love for The Beatles, making the stay even more memorable. The pool area is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was delicious, with a cozy atmosphere that made it feel like home. The garden is full of little surprises—there’s even a charming miniature train that adds a whimsical touch, especially fun for kids. My balcony was a highlight: quiet, spacious, and perfect for morning coffee with views of the surrounding greenery. Everything about this place feels thoughtfully designed, from the attention to detail to the genuine hospitality. It’s not just a hotel—it’s an experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and a true sense of place.

La Chimba Hostel

La Chimba Hostel is an amazing place to meet new people, join fun events, and share unforgettable travel experiences. Located just steps away from the lively streets of Bella Vista, it’s perfect for exploring local vibes and nightlife. The shared rooms and bathrooms are well spread out across the property, so you never feel cramped or waiting too long. The kitchen is fully equipped and great for cooking meals—though hot water sometimes took a bit longer to heat up, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, staying here was such a positive experience, and I’d definitely come back. A true gem in Santiago!

Hotel Las Flores

The hotel is decent and comfortable overall, though the walls show some signs of moisture. Luckily, the heating works well, so we never felt cold during our stay. The staff were exceptional—especially the lady who prepared breakfast and handled housekeeping. She was incredibly kind and attentive, making our experience much more pleasant. One thing to note: quietness is required in the rooms, so please keep noise levels down to respect fellow guests. It's a solid choice for travelers looking for a no-frills, friendly stay with good value. Located conveniently near public transit, it’s easy to explore Santiago without hassle.

What really stood out was the included breakfast: fresh, delicious, and varied, offering a great start to each day. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from shopping areas and public transit, making it easy to explore the city. Brizen Apartments Pedro de Valdivia

My stay at Brizen Apartments Pedro de Valdivia was a major disappointment. From the moment I arrived, there were issues with check-in—apparently I had to register at the front desk, but the building is residential and security was extremely lax. The doorman wasn’t even checking IDs, letting almost anyone in. The main entrance door was broken and barely functional, which added to the unease. The elevator creaked like it was about to fall apart, and the hallway smelled strongly of garbage and something else unpleasant—really off-putting. By the time I got to my unit, I just wanted to collapse. Inside, the apartment looked okay at first glance, but the bathroom showed clear signs of poor cleaning—stains on the tiles, like it hadn’t been properly sanitized before my arrival. The balcony was littered with cigarette butts. I was exhausted and tried to sleep, but the noise from outside was unbearable: constant traffic, buses rumbling by, loud exhaust fans from nearby restaurants, and people shouting on the street well past 2 a.m. It was impossible to rest. I reached out for a refund, but received no response. Overall, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had—poor maintenance, weak security, and extreme noise pollution. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Yogi Hostels

Staying at Yogi Hostels in Santiago was an absolute highlight of my trip. Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, it’s just a 10-minute walk to the metro—perfect for getting around the city without hassle. The hostel itself feels like a peaceful oasis amidst the urban buzz. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with everything you need to cook, plus free water refill stations. The shared bathroom was clean and stocked with essentials. My room was tucked away in the back courtyard, which made it even quieter—ideal for a good night’s sleep. While it’s not the most glamorous space, it was perfectly comfortable for one night. Overall, great value, friendly vibe, and a fantastic base for exploring Santiago.

The Place

The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the metro and right next to a fantastic in-house restaurant. The hotel feels brand new, spotlessly clean, and every detail is well-maintained. I was especially impressed by the water dispenser in the room—no need for bottled water, which made my stay more convenient and eco-friendly. The facilities are comprehensive and thoughtfully designed, from the laundry machine to the modern furnishings. It’s clear this place takes pride in guest comfort and cleanliness. If you're visiting Santiago, this is definitely a top pick. Truly worth every penny.

Diego de Almagro Providencia Express

I stayed here recently and was really impressed with the experience. The hot water takes about a minute or two to come on, but it’s definitely available—no issues there. Located in a safe, affluent neighborhood, I felt secure throughout my stay. The front desk staff were very helpful—they even allowed me to store my luggage after check-out, which was a huge convenience. Room amenities were standard but well-maintained, and everything worked perfectly. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the grilled cheese—it had such a rich, comforting flavor and was absolutely delicious. Overall, great value for money, clean, quiet, and well-located. Would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Santiago.
