I highly recommend staying at Le Concorde in Marseille! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. The host communicated clearly and promptly, making check-in effortless. The apartment is spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and perfectly located—just a short walk from the metro and close to major attractions. It’s ideal for both solo travelers and small groups. The comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail truly stand out. I appreciated the warm hospitality and the convenient access to city life. This is one of the best stays I’ve had in Marseille, and I’d definitely return without hesitation.
B&B Casa Ortega
Located just steps from the train station in Marseille, this charming B&B is a hidden gem. Despite the proximity to the station—which might worry some—this place exudes warmth and character. The rooms are quiet, cozy, and beautifully decorated with unique, thoughtfully curated details that give each space a personal touch. I’ve stayed at several 4-star hotels that didn’t come close to matching the quality and comfort here. The location is super convenient, especially if you’re arriving by rail or planning to explore the city. I highly recommend it—excellent value, great atmosphere, and a truly memorable stay.
Le Panier Enchanté - Suites & Spa
I stayed here for three nights during the Rugby World Cup 2023, and it was one of the best decisions I made. I booked this apartment as soon as the match venues were announced—about 18 months prior—and while many fans faced cancellations, my reservation was honored without any issues. The location is fantastic: don’t let the photos fool you—this neighborhood is vibrant, authentic, and full of charm. There are plenty of small, family-run restaurants serving delicious local food, and the streets are alive with street art and character. It’s a bit of a climb to get to the apartment—narrow stairs, cobbled paths, and several steps throughout the area—but it’s quiet, safe, and perfect for travelers looking to escape the crowds. The apartment itself was clean and well-equipped: fridge, hot plate, cutlery, and all essentials were present. The bed was comfortable and spacious, and while French pillows aren’t always the best, these were fine. Towels could’ve been softer, but that’s just me being picky. The shower was excellent—strong water pressure and endless hot water. Overall, an amazing stay. I’d definitely book again and thank the hosts for their warm hospitality.

The caretaker was somewhat friendly upon arrival, but during our two-night stay, we were subjected to numerous unsettling and borderline threatening remarks that had no place in a hospitality setting. The atmosphere of the place felt dull and unwelcoming, which greatly impacted our experience. Overall, it was far from enjoyable, and I wouldn’t recommend this property to others.

Honestly, this place feels more like a student dormitory than a proper hotel. The neighborhood is quite run-down and unsafe—definitely not a good area to walk around, even during the day. Cleanliness is extremely poor, there's no front desk, no lounge, and no clear instructions on how to pick up your keys. It’s frustrating and uncomfortable overall. I wouldn’t stay here again for any reason.

Staying at Alex Hotel & Spa in Marseille was a pleasant surprise—its proximity to the train station is incredible. Just a 200-meter walk from the station, it’s super convenient for getting around the city. The room is compact but well-organized; two large 28-inch suitcases fit, though space is tight when fully unpacked. Breakfast met European three-star standards—plenty of options, fresh pastries, and local touches. What really stood out was the small courtyard: peaceful, quiet, and perfect for morning coffee or a quiet moment. Plus, most major attractions are within a 20-minute walk or short transit ride. Great location, solid value, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely my top pick for future trips to Marseille.
Ibis Budget Marseille Vieux-Port
The Ibis Budget Marseille Vieux-Port is perfectly located—walking distance to the old port and all the main sights, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was solid: fresh fruit, cold cuts, and a good selection of pastries. However, the room lacked bedside tables, which made it awkward to place personal items. The bathroom didn’t come with hand towels or a hairdryer—both had to be requested at reception and returned immediately. If you wanted to keep the dryer, you had to leave your ID as collateral, which felt a bit odd. Our bed was very noisy and stiff, and the pillows were overly soft with no shape, so they weren’t great for comfort. If you’re sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, avoid weekends—the building is right above bars and restaurants, and even with double-glazed windows, street sounds carried through clearly. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is fair for a budget stay, but the rooms are definitely basic. It’s best suited for travelers looking for a simple, no-frills overnight option rather than a relaxing retreat.

Staying at La Villa Blanche for five nights with my partner was an absolute highlight of our trip to Marseille. Nestled on the hills just outside the city, it offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views—serene and refreshing, especially when you're escaping the busy urban vibe. Though we couldn’t fully experience its summer magic due to timing, I can only imagine how perfect it must be in warmer months. The hosts, Williams and Mireille, were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, offering helpful tips and genuine hospitality that made us feel welcome. Breakfast was outstanding—a generous spread of high-quality local treats, served in abundance, setting the tone for each day perfectly. Our room, though modest in size, was spotlessly clean and well-equipped: premium toiletries, a mini-fridge stocked with free drinks, and a wonderful hot tub that added a real touch of luxury. The spacious private terrace with loungers was ideal for relaxing under the sun or enjoying quiet evenings. Parking is available nearby in a secure, private area, and key access gives guests full flexibility to enjoy the space freely. The hosts remain reachable by phone if needed—always ready to assist. At this price point, the value is excellent. For anyone seeking a calm, authentic stay with great service and charm, this villa is a top recommendation.

Everything went smoothly during my stay—truly exceptional! The front desk staff, Sandra, Marwa, and Khedidja, were incredibly friendly, courteous, and professional throughout. A special mention to Irina, the housekeeping supervisor, and the room attendants Anastasia and Luisa—their dedication, kindness, and gentle demeanor made a lasting impression. They truly went above and beyond in ensuring a comfortable and welcoming experience. The hotel’s location is excellent—just minutes from the Vélodrome and easily accessible via public transit, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Rooms are clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. With such outstanding service and a great central spot, this place earns every single one of those 10/10 points. Highly recommended!

Our romantic getaway was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff, especially Christophe, made us feel so welcome—he even met us at the airport and escorted us all the way to Velodrome. The apartment was spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable, with a great location just steps from everything we wanted to explore. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful and personalized experience, and we couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to any couple looking for a memorable stay in Marseille.
