While the hotel doesn’t offer parking, the NCP Finsbury Square lot is just two blocks away—easy to spot from the building, which made everything super convenient. We had a rental car but planned to rely mostly on public transit during our London trip. Though we expected to pay more for parking, the NCP lot turned out to be well-maintained, secure, and very easy to access when needed. We’d researched options before leaving home and knew this was the closest one—not the cheapest, but proximity was key for us. In the end, the convenience of being steps away from a reliable parking spot made it totally worth the extra cost. The apartment itself is in a fantastic location, close to transport links and local amenities, making it ideal for travelers who want flexibility between driving and using the tube. Highly recommend for anyone visiting London with a car.

I was actually lying in bed after check-out and didn’t want to leave—this stay at The Pillar Hotel was truly unforgettable. As a wheelchair user, finding genuinely accessible rooms can be stressful, but this one exceeded all expectations. The room was thoughtfully designed with emergency pull cords by the bed and shower, grab bars near the toilet, a raised toilet, and even a shower seat securely bolted to the wall—everything you’d want for safety and independence. Some guests mentioned weak Wi-Fi, but we streamed shows from BBC iPlayer and 4 on Demand while lounging in bed, and there wasn’t a single buffer or drop in quality. What made it truly special? A beautifully set-up Chuppah right outside our door—soon the central area filled with guests, and we were lucky enough to witness this heartfelt ceremony, ending in joyful singing and celebration. Breakfast was delicious and well-presented, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. From accessibility to atmosphere, service, and comfort, I can’t fault a single thing. This hotel isn’t just great—it’s exceptional.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend getaway with our wife at The Brownswood, and it was a perfect escape. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and super comfortable—ideal for a relaxing stay. The included breakfast was excellent: fresh, plentiful, and delicious. We also tried the Sunday roast, which was outstanding—perfectly cooked meat with all the classic sides. It’s hard to find such a great combination of comfort, hospitality, and quality food in North London. We’ll definitely be back. This place truly stands out as one of the best choices in the area.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking, including pots, pans, and utensils, plus a washing machine for laundry, which was super convenient. The air conditioning in the room made it perfect for those warm summer evenings. While it’s not right in central London, the location is still very accessible: just a 1-minute walk to the bus stop and about a 9-minute walk to the tube station. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—they personally showed us to our room on arrival and were available 24/7 for any assistance. It’s reassuring to know help is always nearby. Overall, this place offers great value and comfort, especially if you’re looking for a home-like stay with easy access to public transport. Would definitely recommend and book again.
