In the room, we did find a clothes rack and several plain white plastic bags… with a broken ballpoint pen. That’s a bit odd. We ended up leaving one night early. If I wanted a barebones stay, I’d expect it to come with clear expectations—not hidden gaps in service. I shared my disappointment with the host, who responded dismissively, saying she couldn’t understand how I’d managed to survive travel so far without such basics. It felt like she didn’t realize the world has changed. Today’s travelers expect at least the fundamentals: clean towels, hygiene products, and simple comforts. Let’s move past the 80s mindset.
