Staff went above and beyond—they remembered our preferences, like swapping all regular cokes in the complimentary minibar for Coke Zero after noticing our repeated orders. Special shoutout to the concierge team, especially Nathan—he arranged everything from private massages and yoga sessions to a personalized hiking tour, all delivered with top-tier quality. And let’s not forget the chef’s signature homemade berry crumble—it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. He quickly arranged for them to be sent to another accommodation in South Africa so we could still use them during our journey. Communication via WhatsApp was clear, prompt, and friendly. It’s rare to find such attentive, genuine service. If you're looking for a quiet, beautifully managed place with heart, this is it.

Yves and Valérie were incredibly welcoming and always ready to answer our questions—plus their local tips were genuinely helpful. From start to finish, the entire team made us feel at home. This trip was such a delightful surprise—our daughters booked it secretly, and we had no idea until we arrived! Camps Bay Retreat Hotel exceeded all expectations. Nestled between lush trees with breathtaking sea views, the property feels like a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. It’s just a short walk to the vibrant dining area, which made exploring local cuisine super easy. The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We appreciated the complimentary water, juice, and soft drinks left in our room each day. From 4 to 5 PM, they even offer free afternoon tea with freshly baked scones—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The only downside was the room service dinner on one night. We stayed in due to strong winds and ordered from the menu, but the meal didn’t live up to the quality of our lunch visit earlier that week. I’m not sure if there’s a different chef working the evening shift, but it was a bit disappointing. Still, this minor issue didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. We’re already planning our return visit!
