I’d have loved to explore the water-themed floor too, but it was undergoing renovation, so I’ll definitely check it out next time. In Sochi, it’s rare to find such a calm retreat without noisy kids disrupting the peace—here, you can truly unwind and reconnect with yourself. The restaurant was excellent—the food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Unfortunately, only rooms with faux windows were available, but we shrugged it off and made the right call. It didn’t affect us at all since we only used the room for sleeping. The best part? We saved a lot on accommodation without sacrificing comfort. The room came fully equipped: bathrobes, slippers, powerful hairdryer—everything we needed. Furniture looked nearly new, and the overall ambiance felt fresh and well-maintained. Breakfast was outstanding—huge portions, delicious, and served with genuine hospitality. Staff went above and beyond; anything we asked for, they happily provided. The location couldn’t be better. We took taxis only once or twice—we could walk to almost every attraction. Beach was just a 10-minute stroll away, and right nearby were the Winter Theatre, Ostrovsky Museum, and the bustling Kurortny Prospekt packed with cafes and restaurants. The guest house has a fully equipped kitchen, a traditional wood-fired sauna with a small indoor pool, and a beautifully maintained garden. Coming back from exploring downtown Sochi to this serene retreat felt like stepping into a different world. The family room was spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished with everything we needed. Our large window opened directly onto a little garden that was already blooming with flowers—such a lovely touch. We’d highly recommend Matsesta Guest House for a relaxing getaway, no matter the season.
