Staying at Ondina Apart Hotel was an absolute delight! The location is perfect if you want to be close to Barra but still enjoy a peaceful, residential vibe. The pool area is stunning—well-maintained, beautifully landscaped, and just the right size for relaxing or taking a swim. The apartment itself was spotless, neatly organized, and perfectly climate-controlled—no matter the weather outside, it stayed comfortable inside. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, who were helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The view from the window was simply breathtaking, especially during sunset when the sky turned golden. It’s rare to find such a clean, well-run property with such a great balance of comfort and convenience. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Salvador—whether for business or leisure. A real gem!

Nathalie and Marco, our hosts, were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond with their hospitality—offering thoughtful recommendations and making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, a perfect start to each day. Every detail, from the cozy rooms to the quiet ambiance, showed real care. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a genuine homely retreat in a vibrant city. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

The rooms are spacious with a small private terrace—perfect for morning coffee with a view of the bay. Breakfast is served at a nearby pousada just a short walk away, on an outdoor terrace overlooking the water. It’s a delightful way to start the day, surrounded by local charm and sea breezes. Overall, this place strikes the perfect balance between comfort, location, and authenticity. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate a personal touch and a relaxed vibe.

I’m back at Pousada Casa da Vitória again! Whenever I think about visiting Salvador, this pousada is always my first choice 🤣 It checks every box I care about: spotless cleanliness, warm hospitality, amazing room (Room 1), and an outstanding breakfast—definitely deserves a 5-star rating! I’ll be returning for sure. This place truly offers exceptional value and charm.

Staying at Vila Barra Porto was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Salvador. The location is unbeatable—everything you’d want is within walking distance, from local restaurants and shops to iconic sights. The property itself is spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed to make guests feel at home. But what truly sets it apart is Tarsila, the owner. If you’re lucky enough to meet her, you’ll enjoy one of the most genuine and insightful conversations you’ve had in Bahia. Her local recommendations are gold—authentic, practical, and full of personality. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a real experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Salvador.
Pousada e Hostel Chez Marianne
This place is absolutely fantastic! Nestled right in the heart of Rio Vermelho, I was able to explore so many local spots on foot—no need for taxis or public transport. The property itself feels incredibly organized and cozy, with warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The layout is split across three floors: ground level houses the front desk and breakfast area, the second floor is the hostel zone with shared spaces, while the third and fourth floors hold the guest rooms. If you have mobility challenges, keep in mind that everything is accessed via stairs. My room (31) had a stunning sea view, was spacious, and filled with natural light—just a tiny bit of street noise from outside, but honestly, it didn’t bother me at all. The breakfast is hands down the highlight—huge variety of pastries, savory bites, caponata, and more—all fresh and delicious. I left feeling completely satisfied. One note: there’s no parking on-site, but there’s a small lot just around the corner where you can rent a spot easily. Overall, this is a gem of a stay—great location, amazing vibe, and incredible value. Highly recommended!
Marazul Hotel
This hotel doesn’t actually exist—there’s nothing but construction barriers blocking the entire property. I booked through the platform, only to find out it’s completely closed and abandoned. It’s really misleading that this listing is still active. I’d strongly recommend travelers and locals alike to leave feedback to warn others—don’t get caught like I did. The lack of updates and transparency is disappointing, especially when you’re relying on accurate info for your trip. This place should be taken down from the site.
Hotel Pedra da Concha
We were just looking for a place to sleep, but this ended up being one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Right when we arrived, the pillow was covered in someone else's hair—there was no way to tell if it had been changed or not—and it looked pretty grimy. Later that night, we found a cockroach in the bathroom and asked for insecticide, but shockingly, the hotel didn’t even have any. The breakfast was awful—cakes and pastries swarming with flies, and the tapioca was inedible. The overall cleanliness was terrible, and the staff didn’t seem to care. I won’t be returning, and honestly, this stay felt more like a horror story than a vacation. Definitely not worth it.

If you’re looking for a memorable stay in Salvador, this is the perfect choice—you won’t be disappointed!
