Staying at Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal in Venice was an absolute delight. The hotel has a timeless, classic charm from the moment you step inside—elegant architecture, spacious rooms, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. I loved that the rooms still use traditional metal keys; it adds a personal, old-world touch. The heating system works perfectly during winter, so staying cozy was never an issue. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—especially when I picked up my water bus tickets right at the front desk. It made getting around the city so much easier. With its prime location along the Grand Canal and excellent service, this place truly offers great value for money.

Nestled in a prime spot just steps from Venice’s main attractions, Hotel Giorgione feels like a hidden gem. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, genuine hospitality—always smiling, always helpful. My room had a spacious jacuzzi that was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the canals and piazzas. Though breakfast was simple, it offered a good mix of local treats like fresh pastries and regional jams. What stood out most was how convenient everything was—whether you’re here for culture, romance, or just a quiet retreat, this hotel delivers. I’d absolutely recommend it to travelers who value comfort, charm, and location without the hassle.

Staying at CHC Continental, BW Premier Collection in Venice was an absolute delight. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from the train station and the water taxi stop, making getting around the city effortless. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious options—from local pastries to classic Western dishes. It’s rare to find such quality and choice at this price point, especially on the main island. For travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great value, this hotel is a top recommendation.

This trip took us across several European cities, and Savoia & Jolanda Apartments 2 was definitely our favorite stop. The apartment is perfectly located—close to all major sights without being in the busiest tourist zone. Right next door is a famous bookstore where you can even take photos with a vintage gondola, adding such a unique charm to the stay. The unit itself is incredibly well-equipped: a fully functional kitchen with everything you need, plus the surprise bonus of a washing machine—so convenient for longer stays. The check-in staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience warm and welcoming. Booking early really pays off—great value if you plan ahead. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting Venice.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to St. Mark's Square and the main attractions, making it super convenient for exploring Venice. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable, with a functional bathroom that made daily routines easy and stress-free. This place offers excellent value and charm, and I’d definitely return. Highly recommend!

Staying at Angeles Inn in Venice felt like being welcomed into a local family’s home rather than just another hotel. Located just a 10-minute walk from the train station and about 20 minutes to St. Mark’s Square, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city on foot or by vaporetto. The moment we arrived, Valentina and Fabio made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and genuine kindness. They offered thoughtful tips on hidden gems and shared stories that made our trip even more memorable. Our room was charmingly decorated in traditional Venetian style—quiet, spotless, and equipped with AC, free Wi-Fi, and a TV. But the real highlight was breakfast on the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed fresh pastries, local coffee, and views of the canals. The area around the inn is packed with cozy cafés, authentic eateries, and bars—perfect for grabbing a snack anytime of day or night. We also appreciated how easy it was to book excursions to Murano, Burano, and Torcello through the staff, which saved us from long queues at the dock. Venice is magical, and this little gem of a B&B truly lives up to its reputation. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic, stress-free stay in the city.

Staying at Hotel Orsaria in Venice was a fantastic experience, especially thanks to its unbeatable location just steps from the train station—no need to drag your luggage far. I was booked in a separate wing, but it’s only a 2-minute walk to the main building, so convenience wasn’t compromised. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with enough space for our needs. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, varied, and included some lovely local touches that made it feel authentic. One thing to note: there was limited power availability during our stay, which could be inconvenient if you’re carrying heavy bags or relying on devices. A small heads-up for travelers with lots of electronics. But overall, the area is full of great little restaurants within walking distance—perfect for dinner after a long day exploring. With its central spot, friendly staff, and solid value, this hotel is a top pick for anyone visiting Venice.

I had a really disappointing experience staying at Cà Widmann. I was forced to cancel my trip just days before departure because of poor communication and lack of flexibility from the host. I was originally planning to attend the Venice Architecture Biennale for professional reasons, so I reached out requesting either a refund or rescheduling option—something I believed would be reasonable given the circumstances. The host gave vague promises, suggesting that if they managed to re-rent the room, maybe a refund could be considered. That was it—no follow-up, no confirmation, nothing. In the end, I lost €204, missed the Biennale entirely, and couldn’t afford to book another stay later on since I was unemployed at the time. This situation was not only frustrating but also financially devastating. I will never consider this property again, even if I ever return to Venice.

Staying at Abbazia de Luxe in Venice was an absolute highlight of my trip. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the train station, though the entrance is tucked away down a quiet alley, so you’ll need to go in a bit (not right at the street corner). Our room had an incredible view overlooking the Grand Canal and the Ponte degli Scalzi bridge—perfect for morning coffee with a view. The breakfast buffet was excellent: fresh pastries, local cheeses, jams, and hot options—all well-prepared and plentiful. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It’s rare to find such a charming hotel with top-notch service and a central yet peaceful setting. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.

Staying at CA' Miani was an absolute delight—perfectly located in the heart of Venice, just steps away from the city’s most charming canals and hidden alleys. The apartment itself is beautifully designed, with a warm, inviting atmosphere and plenty of space for comfort. Maurizio, the host, went above and beyond with his kindness and helpfulness—offering thoughtful tips on local spots, transport options, and even helping with luggage. His attention to detail made the whole experience feel personal and truly special. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, well-appointed home in such a vibrant location. I’d highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and genuine hospitality in Venice.

Staying at Guesthouse Ca' San Marcuola 1 was an absolute delight. The rooms were spotless and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and pillows that made for a great night’s sleep—definitely better than some other places I’ve stayed in Venice. The location is perfect: quiet yet central, making it easy to explore the city on foot. While the walls between rooms are fairly thin and you might catch a bit of noise from adjacent rooms, it wasn’t an issue for us. Breakfast isn’t included, but honestly, that works in its favor—there are countless cafés just a short walk away, and we actually prefer grabbing a local espresso and pastry in the morning. Overall, this place offers incredible value for the quality, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice. It’s hard to find such a great balance of comfort, convenience, and affordability elsewhere.

Staying at Il Pozzo Magico was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a 15-20 minute walk to the train station, Rialto Bridge, and St. Mark’s Square, and the Line 3 vaporetto stop is less than a 5-minute stroll away. Claudio, the host, was incredibly helpful, offering us detailed tips on getting around Venice and sharing local insights that made our trip so much more enjoyable. We stayed in the apartment, which was spacious enough for our family of four—two adults and two teenagers—and felt really comfortable throughout our stay. Clean, well-equipped, and centrally located, this place offers great value. I’d highly recommend it and definitely plan to return in the future.
