This guest house feels like it’s been hit hard by the post-pandemic slump. The rooms are noticeably worn down compared to past stays, and there’s a lack of cleanliness—towels and sheets have a dingy gray tint, and switches look grimy and neglected. That said, all the basic functions still work: AC, water, lights—all operational. If you’re on a tight budget and just need a no-frills place to sleep, this might get the job done. It’s not ideal for travelers seeking comfort or hygiene, but for a super affordable basic stay, it’s functional enough.

My stay at Hotel Swagat Palace in Karol Bagh was a total disappointment. I booked a double bed room, only to be told it was actually a single bed — even after upgrading for an extra ₹200, the room was still in terrible condition. The mattress had a strong unpleasant smell, and the pillows were filthy and worn out. The cleanliness level was unacceptable; it felt like we were staying in a place that hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Despite the convenient location near the metro, the overall experience was awful. I stayed from October 9th to 10th, and every moment was uncomfortable. I won’t recommend this hotel under any circumstances, nor would I trust any platform associated with it. A truly bad experience — not worth a single rupee.
