I always choose this hotel whenever I'm in Cologne for business trips, and it never disappoints. The room is spacious and immaculately clean—perfect for unwinding after a long day. It's a bit further from the city center, but it's only a short metro ride away, making it convenient without the noise and crowds. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and went above and beyond—she personally prepared the room for my husband’s birthday the next day. The thoughtful touches made it feel truly special, and she took time to explain everything in detail. The room itself is clean, stylish, and cozy, with a super comfortable bed that made for a restful night. Everything about the stay felt genuine and warm, exactly what great service should be. Located just steps from the subway, it’s easy to explore Cologne without hassle. A perfect balance of comfort, charm, and hospitality—definitely coming back.

We've stayed at the Burns before, but this visit to The Deutz, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Cologne was truly exceptional. Our biggest highlight was meeting Marcel Deux at reception—he was incredibly friendly, witty, and highly professional. When we expressed dissatisfaction with our Junior Suite 704, he immediately arranged a room change to Suite 92 with zero hassle. His genuine willingness to help made a lasting impression. The hotel’s central location is perfect for exploring the city—just a short walk to the train station and plenty of great dining options nearby. From check-in to checkout, every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This stay exceeded all expectations. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne.

Public transport links are excellent; getting downtown by car or train takes just minutes. Everything in the unit is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The fully equipped kitchen made self-catering effortless, and I appreciated that my dog was welcome too—pet-friendly without any hassle. The bathroom is a real highlight: you can enjoy your shower while gazing out at the river, though privacy is easily maintained with the built-in blinds. Overall, this place offers incredible value, comfort, and scenery. If you're looking for a peaceful yet central stay in Cologne with a touch of local charm, this is it—highly recommended.

The location of Hotel Medo Köln is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the city center and within minutes of major attractions like Cologne Cathedral. Hotel Gertrudenhof
The check-in process was quick and hassle-free. Breakfast was a bit lacking in fresh fruit, which was a small disappointment. Arriving at night during rush hour can be quite challenging for visitors unfamiliar with the area—this isn’t really the hotel’s fault, but it definitely adds stress. I ended up spending about 30 minutes trying to find parking, eventually settling on a P&R lot roughly 500 meters away from the hotel. While the hotel does have parking available in its courtyard, the issue is that you need to know how to get there before you arrive—and by then, the problem has already started. That said, if you're local or traveling by train, this isn't an issue at all. Overall, the location is convenient, the staff friendly, and the value for money is solid. A great option for travelers who want a quiet stay with easy access to Cologne’s city center.
Kaiser Am Wiener Platz
Our stay at Kaiser Am Wiener Platz was disappointing overall. We waited a full 45 minutes for check-in despite being told it would only take 15 minutes—this was misleading and frustrating. The staff member who finally arrived claimed she didn’t know our arrival time, which simply isn’t believable. Breakfast was underwhelming—very basic with only a few bread rolls available, and no coffee left by the time we got there. Not even a simple apology was offered. The rooms themselves were spacious and clean, but lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable during warmer hours. The keycard is ridiculously large and doesn’t fit in any small bag or purse. The hotel feels outdated, and the service was notably unfriendly. While the location is decent, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. I won’t be returning, and I’d hesitate recommending this place to others.
Hotel Moji
This hotel is only suitable for a quick overnight stay. The rooms were not very clean, and there were issues with the plumbing—after taking a shower, water pooled on the bathroom floor because the drain didn’t work properly. The mattress was overly soft and uncomfortable, and the furniture looked outdated. Staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. On the positive side, public transportation stops are right outside, making it easy to get around the city. If you're just passing through and need a basic place to rest, it’s acceptable—but don’t expect much beyond that.

The rooms were clean and the hotel is well-connected by bus and train, making it easy to explore Cologne. Overall, a solid stay with good value for money. The location is convenient, and the service was friendly and efficient. While not luxury, it offers everything you'd expect from a comfortable mid-range hotel. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially if you're looking for a quiet, reliable base in the city.

We only stayed one night, but the experience was outstanding! The hotel is incredibly convenient—just a short tram ride plus a quick walk (around 25 minutes) gets you into the city center and back. The staff at the front desk and during breakfast were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. With such great service and location, I’d definitely book here again on any future trip to Cologne.
