While it's located across the river, making access slightly less convenient, public transport options are still reliable and easy to use. The room was spacious—definitely more than expected for the price. In the UK market, this is an outstanding value for money. Staying at Go Glasgow Urban Hotel was a fantastic experience overall. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed—definitely not cramped at all. The bed was comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh fruit, local sausages, eggs, and hot coffee—all served with a smile. It felt like a genuine home-style meal, not just a standard buffet. The hotel is perfectly located near the subway, giving easy access to the city center, shopping areas, and restaurants. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout check-in and check-out. No complaints at all—this place offers great value, comfort, and convenience. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Glasgow. Highly recommended!
OYO the Ivory Hotel
We booked an overnight stay with breakfast included for a function we were attending at the hotel, but to our surprise, breakfast wasn’t actually served the next morning. No one informed us about this during booking—definitely a major oversight. To make matters worse, there’s no elevator to the rooms, which made access extremely difficult for my husband who has mobility issues. We had to climb several flights of stairs, which was not only inconvenient but also quite stressful. This was our first visit—and it will be our last. While the food at the event itself was good, the lack of basic amenities and clear communication really let down the experience. The hotel definitely needs a serious upgrade in both facilities and guest service. It’s disappointing to arrive at a place that promises comfort but falls short on such fundamental aspects.

I can't believe I stayed at this place — it was absolutely terrible. The staff were incredibly rude, with one front desk agent yelling at me when I tried to report an issue. He even told me I complain too much, which only made things worse. When I went down to speak to him in person, he screamed at me — completely unprofessional. The housekeeping staff weren’t all like that, but one older gentleman seemed disinterested and unfriendly. Another receptionist hung up on me mid-call and slammed the phone down — honestly, it felt like I was being treated like dirt. There was also a male employee who kept giving me judgmental looks and argued over minor things, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I’ve never felt so disrespected in a hotel before. It’s embarrassing to admit, but I’m glad I now own property — otherwise, I’d be furious. This is not a place I’d recommend to anyone. Stay away.

Booking in advance is strongly recommended, and if possible, they’ll happily accommodate your room preference. My favorite is Room 2, offering stunning views down Fenwick Road and Maryville Avenue. It’s quiet, beautifully appointed, and perfectly located for exploring Glasgow. A true gem—highly recommend for anyone seeking a warm, authentic experience.

Our stay at Giffnock Rooms was absolutely wonderful—perfect for exploring Glasgow and visiting family nearby. The room was cozy and comfortable, and we all slept like babies throughout our two-night visit. It’s just four train stops from Glasgow Central, making city access super easy, and it’s also very convenient for getting to Glasgow Airport. The location is ideal if you’re looking for a peaceful base with great transport links. Jacqueline made us feel right at home with her warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back—thank you so much!
