Breakfast downstairs is fantastic—well-prepared, fresh, and varied, with everything you’d expect from a high-quality stay. Even though it’s a budget-friendly chain, it feels like luxury without the price tag. The staff are genuinely warm—the front desk girls always greet you with bright, youthful smiles and make you feel welcome. If you prefer not to eat in the hotel, there are plenty of great dining options just outside, including four coffee shops—Maner, Starbucks, Pees, and more. What stood out most was the housekeeping lady on the 10th floor—she’s cheerful every day, keeps the corridor spotless, and pays attention to every detail. The laundry attendant also goes the extra mile, helping sort and fold clothes with a smile. Honestly, among all the budget hotels I’ve stayed at, this one has the best value for money—way better than some of the more famous chains. I stayed at Jinjiang Inn Shanghai Caobao Road Metro Station, and unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations. Upon entering the room, I noticed a noticeable dip in the floor right by the door, nearly causing me to trip. The toilet lid was broken and wouldn’t snap back into place, which was quite frustrating. While there was no water outage during my stay, the shower pressure was extremely low—hardly any hot water flow. After checking other reviews, I saw multiple guests mentioning similar issues, confirming that these aren’t isolated incidents. The room condition and maintenance clearly need improvement. Despite being near the metro station, the overall value for money isn’t great. I’d recommend the hotel to reconsider its upkeep and guest experience.
