Think fresh crab, juicy lamb chops, premium salmon sashimi, Peking duck, hot pot, an array of main dishes, and decadent desserts—everything was abundant and well-prepared. My parents were thrilled, saying it’s one of the best value experiences they’ve had. The room itself is spacious at 70 square meters with a view of the pool, and stepping out onto the balcony gives you a stunning vista. It’s peaceful, elegant, and so relaxing. This place totally exceeded my expectations. The owner’s from Guangdong—big respect! If you’re looking for comfort, great food, and unbeatable value, Star River Shanghai is a must-try.

I stayed at Jinjiang Inn Shanghai Caobao Road Metro Station, and unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations. The elevator was out of order, so I had to climb up to the third floor—very inconvenient, especially with luggage. Upon entering the room, I noticed a noticeable dip in the floor right by the door, nearly causing me to trip. The toilet lid was broken and wouldn’t snap back into place, which was quite frustrating. While there was no water outage during my stay, the shower pressure was extremely low—hardly any hot water flow. After checking other reviews, I saw multiple guests mentioning similar issues, confirming that these aren’t isolated incidents. The room condition and maintenance clearly need improvement. Despite being near the metro station, the overall value for money isn’t great. I’d recommend the hotel to reconsider its upkeep and guest experience.
