Hotel Milano Regency
My stay at Hotel Milano Regency was fantastic overall. The hotel was spotless—clean rooms, tidy common areas, and staff who went above and beyond with their hospitality. From check-in to checkout, everyone was friendly, professional, and eager to help. While the location isn’t right next to Milano Centrale (which I needed to reach), it’s still very accessible via public transit—just a 300-meter walk to multiple bus and tram stops, including a direct line to Cadorna Station. There are three restaurants right across the street, all packed during dinner hours, and the food quality was excellent. On my first night, I dined at a restaurant in Piazza Firenze—also highly recommended and delicious. The area feels a bit quiet after dark, but as a solo female traveler, I felt safe walking around. I saw police patrolling a few times, which added peace of mind. There’s also a small courtyard downstairs, but unfortunately mosquitoes were a real nuisance during my short visit—so I skipped the outdoor seating and headed straight back to my room to enjoy a relaxing evening with Young Montalbano on screen. Overall, great value, good vibe, and super convenient for exploring Milan.

The room was spotless, warmly decorated, and well-equipped with thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks and bottled water—such a nice surprise! The rooftop terrace offers an amazing view of Milan’s skyline, especially beautiful at sunset. Location-wise, it can’t get better: just a 1-minute walk to the M1 metro station, giving easy access to all major parts of the city. And the staff? Absolutely welcoming and helpful—always ready to assist with local tips or recommendations. It’s clear they care about guest comfort. A standout stay with great value, I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Milan.
Milano Canal Apartments
I stayed at Milano Canal Apartments in late November for a concert at Forum di Assago, drawn by its proximity to the venue and the positive reviews online. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match the expectations. The Forum isn’t actually walkable without some courage—especially at night during winter. The area is poorly lit, located in an industrial zone, and very quiet after dark. More concerning was the fact that the property sits within a ZTL (restricted traffic zone), but no warning was given upon arrival. I later received a €101.47 fine for entering Via Della Chieda Rossa at 2:45 PM—something I had no idea about. While the host is kind and helpful, it would’ve been much better if she’d informed guests about the ZTL restriction and offered alternative access options. The location sounds convenient on paper, but without proper guidance, it can lead to unexpected issues. Overall, the apartment is decent, but the lack of clear communication about local regulations significantly impacts the experience.
Red Ribbon
I wasn’t expecting much from Red Ribbon Hotel—its exterior looked a bit dated, and it’s a small boutique property. But honestly, the room exceeded my expectations. It was even better than the photos online, with a cozy, thoughtfully designed space and an incredibly comfortable bed. The daily housekeeping was a nice touch—everything stayed fresh and clean throughout my stay. I’m already planning my next trip to Milan just so I can come back here. For such a quiet, intimate setting in a great location, this place offers amazing value. Highly recommend for travelers who appreciate charm over flashiness.

The sofa bed is a real win—easily converts into a comfortable extra bed, allowing my kids and me to sleep separately without any disruption. Overall, this place is ideal for families, offering comfort, convenience, and a true local vibe. Highly recommend! It’s one of those stays where you feel like you’re living like a local, not just visiting.

Since they’re not locals, they couldn’t provide basic info like bus or metro schedules, or recommendations for dinner or breakfast spots—something that would’ve made a real difference. Still, the apartment itself is cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with a great vibe and excellent value. If you're looking for a quiet, home-like retreat in Milan, this place is definitely worth considering.
