Stayed here the night before our train to Prague, and it was an absolute convenience. Right across the street from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, the hotel is super easy to find—just exit the main entrance and cross the pedestrian crossing. With heavy luggage in tow, this location saved us so much time and effort. The room was compact but well-organized, offering just enough space for a comfortable overnight stay. What really stood out was the proximity to the tram line—getting around the city became effortless. Plus, the station itself has plenty of shops and cafes, so we never ran out of options for snacks or last-minute essentials. The breakfast area was spacious and stylishly designed, with a great vibe and a good variety of food. I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in Berlin again—this place truly delivers on comfort, location, and value.

Staying at Hotel Amano Grand Central was a fantastic experience, especially given its unbeatable location just steps away from the train station. The hotel shares a building with ibis and another property, making it easy to spot thanks to its prominent signage. Everything about the service, cleanliness, and facilities exceeded my expectations—super impressive! The only minor downside is that bottled water isn’t provided in-room, which I assumed might be standard, but maybe that’s just how hotels operate in Germany. Also, even though I received a message prompting me to check in online ahead of time, I still had to go through the regular front desk process upon arrival. It made me wonder what the real benefit of online check-in was in this case. Despite that small confusion, the overall stay was excellent—great value, convenient, and very well-run. Definitely would book again.

We were able to safely park our vehicle in the hotel’s garage during our visit, which was a huge plus. Everything about this place felt thoughtfully done, and the overall value is excellent. She went out of her way to accommodate us by checking us in later than our scheduled time, which made our arrival much smoother. While the property itself has room for improvement, her warm hospitality really stood out. It’s rare to find such genuine kindness amid the shortcomings, and it did soften the overall experience. If you’re looking for a place where personal service shines, this might still be worth considering—just manage your expectations regarding the surroundings and amenities.

Apartments Mitte-Inn Berlin
The apartment is spacious and housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century building, which adds character to the stay. Its location is ideal—just a short walk from major attractions, with excellent access to public transport and a wide range of restaurants nearby. That said, the beds were too soft for our taste; my husband ended up sleeping on the fold-out sofa, which was much more comfortable. The duvets were also quite small and short—smaller than a standard single size—so they barely covered us during the night. One important note: there’s no TV in the unit, just a computer monitor. If you plan to watch shows or movies, bring your own laptop. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was positive, especially given the central location and room layout. Great value for travelers who prioritize convenience and space over luxury bedding.
