One quirky detail: the bathroom faucet is extremely tall—despite being 5'6" (around 168 cm), I still had to stretch just to reach the clothesline! That’s some authentic Russian design for you. Inside, the heating system works so well that you forget it’s freezing outside—perfect for winter visits. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just steps from Metro Line 2, making trips to the Ice and Snow World only 3 stops away, while Central Street and Red Star Market are within walking distance. There’s no shortage of local eats nearby—great barbecue spots and traditional “pig slaughter” dishes for hungry travelers. Bonus: the key card can be duplicated, which is super convenient for late-night returns. Service is a bit routine—understandable given the high foot traffic in this commercial area—but could use a little more warmth and personal touch. Still, if you’re visiting Harbin for the first time, this hotel is a solid choice. With such a great location and cozy interior, improving service quality would truly match the premium pricing.

After learning we’d braved the cold the day before, he personally handed us cozy hand warmers and heated insoles. We wore them that night and were amazed by how much warmer and more comfortable we felt. Breakfast was an absolute surprise—the dining supervisor, Auntie Huang, even brought a 3D-printed yogurt for our little one with a smile, saying, 'A great day starts with a delicious breakfast.' That moment stole our child’s heart: he refused to leave the hotel the next morning, even when the famous Hongzhuan Morning Market called his name. He kept asking, 'Can we go back to eat Auntie Huang’s special yogurt?' Such thoughtful touches make this stay unforgettable. Truly, the warmth here goes beyond just the heat—it's real human kindness.

Absolutely a 10/10 experience! This is hands down the best hotel for families visiting Harbin—Puyan Hotel truly lives up to its reputation. We stayed here for four nights, and every moment felt seamless and enjoyable. The location is unbeatable: just across the street from the Songhua River, so we could easily take our kids for a stroll along the waterfront at sunset or sunrise. When they got tired, we were back in the room within minutes—no need to rush or deal with long commutes. Plus, it's incredibly close to Central Street; walking there takes less than five minutes, perfect for exploring local night markets and trying authentic Harbin snacks. There’s an amazing variety of dining options nearby, making mealtime stress-free even with little ones. The rooms are spacious and bright, giving kids plenty of room to run around safely. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with luggage or recommendations. Breakfast was excellent too, featuring traditional Chinese pastries and fresh fruit. One small note: I accidentally left a pair of snow boots in the room, and unfortunately, no reminder was sent upon check-out. He recommended Sakura Terrace, a Japanese restaurant that perfectly matched my partner’s taste. The owner actually mentioned he was grateful for the recommendation from the hotel, which speaks volumes about their local partnerships. I booked through the platform because the Marriott app didn’t suit my style, but regardless of booking channel, The Ritz-Carlton remains the gold standard in luxury hospitality.
