Wow, we got upgraded to a better room upon check-in—what a pleasant surprise! The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, with panoramic sea and mountain vistas. It’s super convenient too: just a short walk up a slight hill leads to restaurants and supermarkets, so you’ve got everything you need right nearby. The only downside? The city center is a bit of a distance away, but there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, making transit easy. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming—mostly standard Western-style options with very few warm or hearty choices like soups or stews. That said, the bathroom amenities were decent, at least they came from a recognizable brand. Overall, this place offers great value, comfort, and a beautiful setting. Definitely worth staying again!

Pestana Casino Park Hotel & Casino

This hotel exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, Rita at reception was incredibly welcoming and made check-in so smooth. I was assigned a fantastic room with stunning views, and the nighttime scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast area overlooks the vast Atlantic Ocean—waking up to that view is pure magic. The breakfast spread was impressive, especially the selection of fresh fruits, which were juicy and delicious. Every detail, from the service to the ambiance, felt exceptional. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Funchal.

Casa Velha do Palheiro Relais & Chateaux

Unfortunately, we only had one night here, but it left such a lasting impression that we’d love to return. Every detail reflects excellence, and the service was warm and attentive.
