One thing to note: the listing mentions parking availability upon request and a washer/dryer combo, but in reality, there’s no parking at all, and while there is a washing machine, there’s no dryer—only a drying rack. So if you’re planning to stay longer or need laundry facilities, be sure to bring your own drying solution. Also, the floors are very creaky—even when walking lightly, the sound echoes through the building. We had no neighbors above us, but still felt bad for anyone below every time we moved around. Even tippy-toe steps made it impossible to avoid the noise! Despite these small drawbacks, the overall experience was excellent. Great value, lovely ambiance, and a peaceful retreat in Funchal.
