Absolutely outstanding experience! To be honest, I didn’t encounter any major issues during my stay. Hot water was reliable, and the overall comfort level was exceptional—perfect for a relaxing getaway without any stress. There were a few minor hiccups, like the dishwasher not working, the room phone being unresponsive, and an initial issue with the key, but the front desk team handled everything promptly and efficiently—my new key was replaced in no time. Breakfast options were a bit limited compared to other hotels, but honestly, it didn’t bother me at all. These are just small points I mention to help the team improve further. What truly stood out was the incredible space—my room was massive compared to others I’ve stayed in. Having a full kitchen, dining table, living area, and private balcony made the entire experience feel surreal. It felt more like staying in a cozy apartment than a hotel. The comfort, layout, and attention to detail were simply unmatched. I’m definitely coming back—this place exceeded my expectations in every way.

I originally booked a standard room, but due to an issue with the air conditioning, the staff kindly upgraded me to a larger suite with two TVs, a comfortable sofa, and a dining table—way more spacious and enjoyable than expected. The team was attentive and efficient in handling the change without any hassle. Overall, the service, comfort, and value for money were outstanding. My stay at this hostel was extremely disappointing. I lost my money while staying there, which raised serious safety concerns. To make matters worse, the room I was given was completely different from the one I booked—definitely not what was advertised. The street where the property is located is also very unsafe, especially at night. It’s dark and filled with homeless individuals who constantly approach guests shouting for money, demanding 'give me 50, 20 reais'—it felt intimidating and uncomfortable throughout the night. Overall, the experience was far from what I expected. The location, safety, and room accuracy were all major issues. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It’s rare to find someone who invests so much effort not only into creating a beautiful space but also into ensuring every guest feels valued and happy. If you’re looking for authenticity, warmth, and exceptional hospitality, this is the place. I wholeheartedly recommend it—and I’ll definitely be back.

The hotel itself is simple but clean and well-maintained, offering great value for its central location. We’d recommend choosing rooms at the back for quieter surroundings, away from street noise. The rooms are spacious with a small private terrace—perfect for morning coffee with a view of the bay. Breakfast is served at a nearby pousada just a short walk away, on an outdoor terrace overlooking the water. It’s a delightful way to start the day, surrounded by local charm and sea breezes. Overall, this place strikes the perfect balance between comfort, location, and authenticity. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate a personal touch and a relaxed vibe.

Absolutely stunning location with unbeatable value for money. The hotel is perfectly situated near the marina, making it easy to explore Salvador on foot or by public transport. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious for the price. Staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I was blown away by how much comfort and convenience you get at this rate—definitely one of the best finds during my trip. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hotel Don Juan is located near the historic center of Salvador, which makes it convenient for exploring the city. The area is a bit risky at night, so I’d recommend being cautious after dark. The hotel itself is decent — clean rooms and a surprisingly good breakfast with a nice variety. However, the front desk service was a major letdown. The platform advertised 24-hour reception, but when we needed to check out early (at 6:00 AM) for a tour, the front desk was completely empty and the door locked. We had to track down the receptionist in another part of the building, who responded with irritation, scolding us for not informing them in advance about our departure time. That was extremely inconvenient and felt totally unreasonable. Given how early we were leaving, expecting guests to plan ahead like that isn’t practical. While the hotel’s basic amenities are solid, this poor experience significantly affected my overall impression. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially if you’re planning an early morning schedule.
