I asked for a complaint form, but she refused, saying I wasn’t registered, so she wouldn’t provide one. I left furious. That night, I barely managed to secure a room at 4 a.m. thanks to my friend Yelena’s relentless efforts calling hotels. I walked five places myself—all full. The city was packed due to a Madrid-Barcelona match, and every hotel was sold out. I ended up staying in Tres Cantos, far from the city center, at a steep price. The next day, I spent eight straight hours searching for another room—pure chaos. On Saturday, I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor, borrowing space from my course instructor since no affordable options existed anywhere in Madrid.
