I've stayed at Hotel Tronador before and I'm back again—definitely a place worth returning to. The service is excellent, and the facilities are top-notch. The pool area is fantastic—calm, inviting, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. It's one of the main reasons I keep coming back; it really delivers on tranquility. Breakfast is solid, though I did notice it seemed slightly smaller in portion size compared to my previous visit. Still, the quality remains strong. Staff are attentive and friendly throughout the stay. One small note: the parking space provided isn't very spacious, especially if you're driving a larger vehicle. But honestly, that minor issue doesn't take away from the overall experience. Great value, great location, and a peaceful retreat—highly recommend for anyone visiting Mar del Plata.

Staying at Hotel Boutique Calash was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just steps away from the beach and nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Public transit access is super convenient, making it easy to explore Mar del Plata. The building itself is charming with a cozy, boutique vibe. The owners personally welcomed us, and the staff member who checked us in was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, abundant, and varied. I especially recommend the medialunas (Argentinian croissants)—flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious. They’re worth every bite! The only minor drawback is that parking isn’t covered, but honestly, it’s a small trade-off for such a fantastic stay. This place truly delivers on comfort, charm, and value. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

The staff goes above and beyond with warm, attentive service, and the breakfast is absolutely outstanding—fresh, delicious, and varied. What truly sets this place apart is its unbeatable location: just a short walk from the beach and right in the heart of downtown Mar del Plata. It’s rare to find such a well-rounded experience at this level, and I can’t recommend it enough. A standout choice for anyone visiting the area.
Luz y Fuerza - All Inclusive
This place is a must-visit again and again. The service remains exceptional, and the all-inclusive package is fantastic—plenty of delicious food, great variety, and even some sweet treats like ice cream 🍦😋 The rooms are comfortable, with a powerful shower in the bathroom, and cleanliness is top-notch. I especially love that the triple rooms often host senior groups who have an amazing time together—there are free nightly dance events in the main event hall, which adds so much fun to the atmosphere. It’s not just a stay; it’s a joyful experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for relaxation, good vibes, and great value.
San Remo Grand Hotel
We stayed at the hotel with my partner at the beginning of December. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. On our first day, it rained heavily, but having access to the indoor heated pool was a great backup option. The location is incredibly central—just a short walk from the beach and within easy reach of downtown. Breakfast was varied and satisfying, though I’d love to see more options like ham, cheese, or fresh fruit added. The mattresses were a bit worn and not super comfortable, but that’s a small downside considering how good the overall value was. For the price, this was definitely a solid choice. I’d definitely stay here again if we ever return to Mar del Plata.

Dining here during sunset with views of the sea made the meal even more memorable. Overall, Gran Hotel Opera offers a reliable, enjoyable stay that fits perfectly within its price range. Definitely a place I’d return to on future trips to Mar del Plata.
Hotel Nueva Italia
The hotel is about 20 blocks from the beach, which is a bit far, but it's located in a lively area with constant activity around. We parked our car outside every night without any issues—security has really improved since the local authorities relocated the previous transient groups. The owners are absolutely outstanding—11 out of 10 for service! Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, and the room cleanliness was top-notch. What stood out most was their genuine love for animals—there were stray cats and dogs around, and they clearly care for them. It’s rare to find such warmth and kindness in hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.
Hotel San José Mdq
This stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. The entire room was soaked with moisture—walls, floors, even the bathroom was dripping. We weren’t given a single towel for bathing, and the sheets were old, stained, and clearly never washed. On the first night, there was no hot water at all—just freezing cold showers. The rooms weren’t cleaned during our stay, and we found ants crawling around in the bedroom, which was absolutely horrifying. The toilet was loose and wobbly, and the tiny two-by-two bathroom flooded every time we turned on the tap. The staff’s service was subpar—rude, indifferent, and completely unhelpful. This place felt more like a nightmare than a hotel. I’ve stayed in many places worldwide, but nothing comes close to this level of neglect. Do not stay here—avoid it at all costs.

This hotel is absolutely perfect! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local attractions. The owners and staff are incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond to meet every need. The room was completely renovated with a brand-new bed and modern bathroom—so comfortable and spotless. Cleanliness is outstanding; you can tell they take pride in their standards. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, but this one truly stands out. I’d return without hesitation and would even give it more stars if possible—it absolutely deserves it!
Garden Hotel
The location is fantastic for travelers without their own transportation. It's just steps away from the heart of Mar del Plata, and the garden facing the street is a real highlight—a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city center. While the room bathrooms and Wi-Fi could use some improvement—especially when many guests are online—the overall experience remains strong. Just like in 2019, my stay in January 2022 was still very satisfying, with great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a perfect balance of temperature and lighting. Located just a short walk from the metro station, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring downtown Mar del Plata. This place offers fantastic value and genuine hospitality. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
